Lossing Old Friends
Well... I decided to create this thread after having a long time friend decide to turn against me over a course of a year. Last day of school today and I get home and get on Facebook he has completely flamed me in about 25 separate locations.. oh well... I handled it nicly I think with out arguing and I think he now regreats it...
Growing-up and Growing apart I guess... Anything like this ever happened to any of you?

Re: Lossing Old Friends
I used to get into arguments a lot of times with my friends. I felt ashamed and guilty after and made up with them. Your not the only one it's happend to me as well. But no matter what they still remain our friends. The best friends I ever had I am still friends with them today but they are going to different schools. I miss them -( Forgive me that last part does not relate to the topic at hand at all. I am terribly for wasting your time.

Re: Lossing Old Friends
Since second grade, I had always wanted to be in the same home room as my best friend. In fifth grade, we finally got into the same home room, but thanks to me being a *bleep*, we sort of drifted apart. I still feel guilty about it sometimes.
In sixth grade when we were junior counselors for the same group of little kids, we got along like old friends; it wasn't awkward at all. I guess she didn't have any hard feelings.

Re: Lossing Old Friends
Oh, I argue all the time, and get into fights fairly often. Whether I win or not is something you'll have to deduce.

Re: Lossing Old Friends
I try to steer things away if its leading to an arguement, but if two friends do then i will step into the middle and try to stop it. Mostly because the few arguements tht were happening were before standdown day and i didnt want everyone to fall out with each other.

Re: Lossing Old Friends
I don't tend to argue with friends, but my best friend in Year 7,8 and 9 had to move schools because her mum didn't think that the current school was good enough (I'll agree with her on that, LOL
). I rarely see her now.
Just finished school except for exams and recently found out my current BF is going to a different school to do A levels! >_<
Oh well, I'll make new friends in college right? Plus I have my other friends. ![]()

Re: Lossing Old Friends
I've moved five times and I try to keep in contact with all of those who I enjoyed the company of...but things change over time and nobody stays the same...one of the sad things about growing older I'm afraid.
I have a big difference between an aquaintance and a friend....and I don't have too many people that I consider a friend.

Re: Lossing Old Friends
Yeah.. my friend.. his mother is battleing Cancer and everybody in the school is like hudling around him scilently. He doesn't like to talk about it though so I did as I always have. However he's now hanging out around the "cool" kids and is thinking that he is better than I. He is not much different from myself though and many times when he flames (or for lack of better terms 'makes fun' of me) he is very hippocritical... lol... anyhow I think you guys get the idea of what is happeening there.
As much as it bother's me to see him hate on me, it makes me feel even worse to know how easily he turned on me and felt himself better than I. As similar minded and mannered and everything we are... It sends chills down my spine....

Re: Lossing Old Friends
Times change though, and so do people. You may know someone but then they act completely different after a certain situation like this one you are saying. Its happened to one of my friends, friends, they started going out with someone and her friends started acting completely different to the person she started going out with, and now they have they stopped going out those friends are fine towards him. Weird really to be honest. oh well XD

Re: Lossing Old Friends
Well it's certainly one of the reasons why I don't put much faith into relationships anymore. Not until I meet someone who is pretty stable about who they are.
