... Let me think... Nope. I'm too superior to all of you human rats to even think about the possibility of being another.

Humbleness is overrated.

honesty is better...

anyhow yeah... I always wish that I wasn't quite as shy talking... Writing I'll say what ever i fell but if I have to talk I'll only say normal things and keep most of them to myself.. on here I just say what ever comes to mind.

Too much.. lol

Nope. Being yourself is better and trying to be like someone else is like constantly lying.

I am who I am and that's all I ever want to be. Wonderful thing about being human is you have a chance to forge your own identity..and that's something people should really take advantage of.

I would like to be a dragon like Jake long. Shape shifting sounds fun. Having a family of dragons would be really cool. Although I would rather be emerald than red.

Ya, I agree with you guys its best to be ourselves. Exploring our own personality is the best thing we can do for ourselves. Looking for our real purpose is a real adventure.

Re: Did you ever what to be like a certain Person?

Did I want to be like someone? Umm, I honestly don't really have an answer, but not that I know of. It's one thing to aspire to be like someone, but trying to be someone else is totally different. For the latter, I think it's better just to be yourself - everyone's unique. However, you can certainly have strong influences and be inspired by someone else.

Usually people want to be sort of like their biggest hero, or heroes. In this case, my hero makes music and has changed many lives, including mine. One day, I want to do the same.

I do take inspiration from others...but I apply that towards my own being, not so I can be just like them.

I didn't mean forge your Identity, I mean why would people do that? Even thought they forge their Identity doesn't mean that they can escape what their real name or Identity was they still have the same fingerprints ant the only way to get rid of those is sand them off, burned them off, or have lots of scars on you fingers but no matter what you do your still the same guy you were from the start. I mean come on you should be proud of you identity why whould you dislike it for? your who you are not anyone else. now all I asked did you ever WANT to be like someone else.
Like be a dragon like ontels said, And you can't say your Superior than all humans cause now that means your just being full of yourself. A single human can't declare himself better than the rest of the humans.

Yes, RDX it's great being human.

Sorry for the long speech. roll

Re: Did you ever what to be like a certain Person?

I like how this conversation is going.

In the end, it is our experiences that make us up. I've lived a life that none of you people could, which is one of the reasons I don't tend to respect other people. Naughty me. Anyway, the point is, wishing to be someone else is a foolish idea, and also, is like rejecting every experience you've ever gone through. By wishing to be someone else, you are rejecting every emotion, every idea, every action, every stupid mistake, every comment.

If you want to be someone else, you'd just screw them up too. If you're a failure, you stay a failure. If you're a horrible person, you stay a horrible person.

Personally, I see little difference between being in a relationship, yet yearning for another partner. I mean, please, don't reject yourself. That's what other people are for.

That said, we all become new persons every second we experience. Every electrical impulse reshapes our brain, and consequentially, our mind. Experiences shape us. You don't have to throw away yourself to be someone else.

I was talking about making your own place in the world with what you're given when you're born. I didn't mean forging as in faking another identity.

Re: Did you ever what to be like a certain Person?

To RDX:

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

To Aceedwin:

I believe people can change the way they live Like how you said a Failure, Stays a Failure. That is not true A failure can change his life around if he changes the way he chose to do things.
And a Horrible person can change as well, I'm not quiet sure about a person who commited a crime I guess it all depends on what he did. But I don't know what you meant by "I mean, please, don't reject yourself. That's what other people are for. " Of coures you shouldn't reject yourself. but don't you need a reason to reject other people?

Re: Did you ever what to be like a certain Person?

No. I mean, I don't. Probably because I'm a narcisstic (insert naughty word here).

People are "destined to turn out the way they do. I don't like the word destined, because it implies magic, but it's the closest English word to describe determinism in that fashion. Dreaming for a different personality is like dreaming for a different universe. It's selfish and unrealistic.

Re: Did you ever what to be like a certain Person?

You can't accomplish anything in this world by simply dreaming. Dreams can only give you a fantasy of something that could be not something that will be. The only way that you can make something a reality is if you put your mind and heart to it and sacrifice a little bit of yourself to achieve your goals.

That's the difference between someone with motivation to succeed and someone who desires things to simply stay the same and not better themselves.

Re: Did you ever what to be like a certain Person?

Sacrifice? Hmmm, I'll let that slide.

But regardless of dreams, motivation and willpower, you can't do the impossible, that's the whole point of impossibility. So where do you go when there is nothing possible left to do? Is there any point in attempting the impossible? I'd say yes, if only too keep the boredom at bay.

Re: Did you ever what to be like a certain Person?

You can't say it's destined for someone to not to change his future. Everyone can change their future and you know that. it's never to late to change your ways and become a better person, no matter what you say. it's never too late I just know it.

Re: Did you ever what to be like a certain Person?

No, a future is fixed. If you do something to "change" your future, you were "destined" to do that, and in fact, haven't changed your future at all. There is no free will, just an endless definite. In other words, it's "been too late" from the moment the universe was created.

My argument is that all things are physical, and all physical things are controlled by physical things. If a ball exists, it doesn't "do" anything. The laws of physics move it in relation to forces and the existence of other particles. Now my point is, if the human body is physical, we don't "do" anything. We are like balls in that manner. This argument's been around for a while and it's called determinism. Also, if you're going to argue this point, I suggest you stop the "I have to be right, I just know it!" and get with proper debating. I'm also thinking we could take this to the debating thread... Hm?

Re: Did you ever what to be like a certain Person?

I don't believe in the future being fixed. I've seen my father change someone's path from one of complete abysmal and despair to one of actual hope and motivation. All you have to do is guide someone in the right direction and they can change themselves for the better if they are truly motivated to do so.

And the whole sacrifice thing I said before relates to actually being motivated to take the road less traveled and push yourself in a direction that isn't easy at all...forsaking your personal enjoyment to make yourself better instead.

That's a large problem with most of today's society that nobody has any ambition to get better and no desire to split away from what feels good right now. I fully believe that someone is capable of changing their life for the better if someone assists them or they learn from their own mistakes. I've seen it many times and that's how I've been brought up.
