Do big vehicles and towing intimidate you?

Do big vehicles intimidate you? I was driving massive vehicles since I got my permit[I got my license in my dad's truck] and I don't just mean vans pickup trucks and the wonderful Suburban[and its Ford counter parts] I also mean Rvs and medium sized trucks as well[bigger than a pickup but smaller than a semi] We have a 30' Rv that I love to drive and always read about people being scared of driving such a rig. I also drive a GMC C4500 dump truck which even though its medium duty its still pretty huge.[The driver's seat is 6' off the ground]

And what about towing? I was towing within a week of getting my permit but even I still get nervous. You have to make sure you have the right size ball,mirrors, lights, safety chains, brakes, a breakaway cable, securing the load, trailer sway, braking sooner and smoothly,accelerating from a stop smoothly.

How about both of these together? Yep I drive big vehicles and tow at the same time. I'm about 50' in the Rv while towing and about 45' while hauling our tractor[but the tractor weighs 10,000 pounds vs 2000 - 3000 for the rv]

Pfftt. You think that is scary, cranes are like so scary. I have one at the back of my house. Cranes are scary, (but you wouldnt understand)

Big trucks and towing don't scare me. I find it, dare I say fun to tow and drive big vehicles but I don't have a crane normally if a crane is needed it just gets rented but I kinda see what you mean. Feet getting crushed by the outriggers, getting hit by the load, breaking cables and thus falling loads, the whole *bleep* crane falling over, broken hydraulic lines and yet again something falling.Thats all I can think of.

Hey! I don't own those vehicles.I do own a Model T and thats what I should be bragging about. Thanks for the Idea!

Oh I had no idea. I don't go too far back when I read topics maybe two pages and then I lose interest. I'm glad you know how one works then since when I go to car shows people see the inside and think its like a normal car but when I explain to them how you really drive one they are like Whaaaaaa??? :?
