Virus Protection
I my self have been getting by without virus protection for the last 2.5 years. However if my parrents didn't have me they may have done lost their computer. I have fixed at least 10 virus but I don't know how to know when I have one and sometimes we loose files and data to them. Our back-up drive helped out everytime but you guys think that for somebody who is 14 and jobless is something like Norton worth it?
I find the files and (after manipulating them) I delete them. First Friday every month I devote a day to doing this.
I forgot last week so I did it today and it just got me thinking.
Feedback?
Also if anybody has any searching methods and/or deleteion techniques I could use them too. Thanks
If tomorrow may never come, and yesterday is just a memory, then what is today worth?

Re: Virus Protection
Norton sucks.
Get Kaspersky. If you can't afford it or you don't want to buy it, find a free download of Malwarebytes on Google somewhere.
There's always SR's famous little quote "If you don't have Kaspersky, it's as good as having nothing."

Re: Virus Protection
I don't run antivirus protection on my computers, but I have Kaspersky installed on all the computers in my house that I don't use, as well as on all my relative's computers.

Re: Virus Protection
Run Kaspersky. If you're going to run anything at all.

Re: Virus Protection
I used avast for a few years... the only good thing about it is its network shield, its updated quite a bit but even then, its not worth having its crappy virus protection over.

Well, it clearly shows that you don't know what you're talking about, T3h0v4llu.

Re: Virus Protection
That's a subject that won't be discussed on the forums. Please don't talk about it.

Re: Virus Protection

Re: Virus Protection
Any mention of the subject regardless of content isn't exactly welcomed. If you want to continue walking the borderline of the issue by all means do but someday someone won't see it that way.

Re: Virus Protection
Yeah the rules on that are pretty cut and dry... Somekids might not know what that is yet for sure.. they will eventually but we don't want to be the ones to let them know....
