anyone else even know what it is? its a bloody good tv show. i love that little dinosaur, rex. (: hopefully theres someone else here who knows that knows what primeval is! anyone?

I'm a big fan of Primeval! And yes it is a "bloody good TV show!" big_smile

It goes like this: a team of people investigate 'anomalies' in which creatures from the past and even the future appear through. They have to get the creatures back through the anomalies before the public know about it. Sabre-toothed cats, Raptors, Mammoths and giant insects are among these creatures. OMG, it's a blast!

The current team is Nick Cutter (the team leader), Abby, Connor, Jenny and some security guy and an Egyptologist (sorry forgot their names!).
One member of the team died at the end of Series 2, he was Stephen Hart. :'( Aww... I liked him, he was cute. :-P

I've seen the first two series (I have them on DVD) and I'm currently watching series 3.

Try and watch it or get hold of the DVDs somehow. You'll like it. smile

Oh yeah, and Rex is cute too! wink

I love Primeval, I also have the first and second series on DVD. In the first two series there was only like 9 episodes, but in the third series there's about 15.... Awesome!!

What's your favourite out of the two, Series 1 or 2? I prefer the second series, simply because of the Smilodon and Raptor. smile

Not sure, I like the episodes in the first series better, for example the one where there are sea-reptiles in a swimming pool and Cutter first sees Helen again after she disappeared is one of my favourites. But at the same time the last two of the second series are probably the best of the lot in terms of action and the story.
Can't wait for the one that's on tomorrow. I bet she's cloned Cutter, thats the only reason why he would have put a gun to Lester's head..... (Can't spell his name to save my life.)

Yeah, Helen's a bit mad. She cloned that mercenary guy didn't she? It was dead freaky when it did that shot at the end of series 2 and there were loads of them in the graveyard. :omg: Yes I think she's cloned Cutter, as I read in a magazine that they come face to face! I loved it when Lester said, "You are so fired." when Cutter pointed the gun at him. big_smile That's not gonna go down well!

OMG, I hope no one dies in this series. Especially Connor: I have a soft spot for guys like him. If he dies, I'll cry so hard! :'( I like Abby too.

Not to mention that the Future Predator keeps getting pwned by creatures that are now extinct!! XD

I doubt they will kill off any of the main characters in this series, maybe Lester or Helen, but I dunno, 14 episode (I think its that many) is a long time. My prediction for tonight is that while sorting out the anomaly at the hospital Cutter will get knocked out by a 'Cleaner Clone' while Helen attacks the ARC with the cloned Cutter. Then the real Cutter will randomly walk in halfway through and everyone will be like: 'WTF!?'

Either that, or most of the series will be spent on the real Cutter trying to convince the others of his innocence.

Yeah, I don't think it was him. I'm betting it was his clone, they wouldn't kill him off like that at the beginning of the series. Did you catch what Cutter was wearing when he 'died'?

He also said: "You're not as smart as you look." Before she shot him, which I feel was a dead giveaway.

OMG, you're right! But his clone was right next to that bomb and he detonated it - he was clearly incinerated. Ooooh Helen - that evil *BLEEP*! After he went back in for her too! I hope they kill that mad moose!

I hope you're right, I liked Cutter. And it does seem a little weird that they killed him off just like that. But I'm not sure... Wasn't the clone Cutter wearing a green coat and the real one wearing a black? Or the other way round? What was he wearing when he died? Which colour coat?

i think that was cutters clone aswell. but im not entirely sure though. ( hope so aswell sad )

Yeah, they were (and still are I think, can't remember either saying they were divorced) married, but she ran off into the anomalies for 8 years so she's kind of not with him now.

There's no denying that Connor and Abbey like each other. I mean, I think Abbey is proper baiting Connor, you seen the way she flirted with him on the episode with the little Gremlin-thingy? Connor has said to Abbey that he loved her at one point, she heard but wasn't sure as she was dangling off of a cliff with the Future Primate (Mermaid thingy) snapping at her heels. As soon as she asked what he had said he was like: 'Errr....' That made me LOL!

Yeah I just read that too... so it WAS the real Cutter! :'( Awww... I liked him... Now I'm just wondering what's gonna happen in the series now without him. He was the main character. It'll be interesting certainly.

First Stephen and now Cutter... they're not having a good week are they?

No, that's what I thought. Killing him off at the end of the series would have been better. They've gone and killed two of the main characters (characters that were about most liked of the lot, and the ones that did the most within the team) within a couple of episodes, and on top of that the new characters haven't yet been established, so I think that descision may well have screwed the series.... I'll still watch it, but I doubt it will do the series good in the long-term.

Cutter's death is obviously gonna affect the team greatly. Connor is in charge now, right? The next episode is gonna have a Giganotosaurus in it (and was that Nigel Marvin I saw on the preview of next week's show? Big fan here, I loved him in Prehistoric Park smile ) so I can't wait to see them handle that! big_smile I doubt they'll fail as Connor said, "I won't let you down, Cutter." after he had died, so he'll be dead determined now. Bless him! :wub:

Cutter's death also reminded me of a scene from Tomb Raider Underworld...

It ain't a raptor, and it certainly looks to be causing a lot of trouble in the preview....

But I agree, which is why I'm still gonna watch it. I wanna see how Connor copes with being practically the 'Leader'.

Yeah, the big one is called Giganotosaurus. It's basically a bigger, angrier version of T-Rex. And with longer arms.

Nigel Marven said it was a baby Velociraptor in the preview, I wonder if Abby and Connor the Cutie will adopt that one too! big_smile

May I add my favourite Connor quote of many:

Connor (after being chased by a Utahraptor): Argh... I hate that!
Abby: What?
Connor: Brain-freeze from the slushie...

Did anyone see the Paul O Grady show today (Tuesday)? That woman who plays that Egyptologist (Sarah is it?) was on. I've forgotten her name, but she officially announced that is was the real Cutter who was killed, not the clone. So there, it's official... well we'd figured that one already! :-P The audience went "Awww..."

*sniff* I'm not crying... :'(
