Yeah i know, but it made the laptop very slow from what my mum said. She plays poker on it lol with people from across the world, not with real money though, which is good.

Thats some hecktic virus xD. Worst I got was when my sister decided to download random dodgy songs off limewire that had all lowercase and then later I couldn't delete that "mp3" but AVG said it was a trojen and quarantined it big_smile .

BTW: Norton Anti-Virus = FAIL

I would suggest downloading Malwarebytes and running a full scan on that. You can probably find a free download somewhere. Go into safe mode and run a whole scan on that.
It's better than McAfee, and probably better than some others.

McAfee is crap. Just go out and get Kaspersky.

Are you saying that Norton 360 and/or Norton 2009 is a bad antivirus?

What the bloody hell.

The scan I did a day ago came up with 90+ viruses. It said that they all
were resolved, but then my computer began restarting over and over
again. This time, in Safe Mode and any other mode I put it in. I tried the
debugger, but I still could not even get to the Log-In screen. Just restarts.
So I am having frustrations over what to do, and I am really *bleep*ed off
right now.

I will be mainly posting from the family's computer in the living room
from now until I get my PC fixed, so we can keep in touch.

My dad is a programmer for Holt CAT, so I hope he could resolve this
issue. I don't get why the creators of those viruses even condescend to
being such dumb *bleep*s.

If you can't go out and buy kaspersky, download Malwarebytes onto your computer somehow.

Honestly yes I am. I've tried just about every single computer program out there and along with other sources of information the best choice to defend against most of the devastating programs out there is Kaspersky Anti-Virus.

But you don't have to believe me of course. Just putting my own experience in.

lol.. i get by fine with NOTHING!!! lol... idk.. over 4 years and ain't nothin happened yet.. no free trials or anything downloaded to help out the comp... idk

How do you think you got infected in the first place? By downloading infected torrents.

Don't torrent Kaspersky, buy it. Its worth it.

That's why you look over the reviews. People on Mininova are like us, and
tell each other if they find a virus. Or, you can check the download for a
virus. But I guess you're right on the torrent thing. I should watch what I
do.

At least I got ... [I'm not going to say. Hah. I'm not that dumb.]

To tell the truth, I have no problem with admitting the fact that I use
torrents. But I know the consequences of using them, too.

My uncle's friend was a programmer for CAT until he quit to go do something else. Not a big deal.

Its not that hard to infect a torrent so an antivirus cannot detect it. Don't think you are always secure.

If you don't want to pay for Kaspersky, then don't use it, its one of those apps that you need to buy because its reasonably priced and is just overall great.

Its not a big deal to use torrents, millions of people do it and its not like its some super secret or special thing.
