Re: General Discussion - 2
He's right. There is a broad difference.

What kind of recreational sports do all of you like?
This means sports like kayaking, skiing, swimming for leisure, boating,
wakeboarding, snowboarding [RDX], etc...Not Soccer, B-ball, baseball, football, blah. Those are competetive sports.
Well technically any sport is competitive so long as you are against someone else in that kind of environment....but yeah for leisure I do just like going out and playing football for fun with my friends...which is leisure seeing as how we're just doing it for the heck of it.....but yeah also snowboarding, going for a run when I feel like it, and also going out and throwing my javelin...

Re: General Discussion - 2
Correct me if I'm wrong, but a javelin is a large spear-like pole to be
thrown at enemies or objects, correct? I have seen them many times
before, but never got a chance to throw one. But I have tried pole-vaulting.
I like getting a bunch of friends to go and shoot each other with our airsoft
guns. Not for competition, but for the sake of being able to shoot each
other without actually killing each other. Oh-what-fun it-is to shoot your
friend with a ma-chine gun, eh! [Jingle bells spoof I just made up]

Yes a javelin is a nice throwing spear that was used as a weapon in the ancient days and such....and it is also an Olympic event now. It was my primary event when I was in track and field. Now I help out the team by coaching it.

Re: General Discussion - 2
Nice, it's gone. Whooh, it was so hard to read posts with that thing on.
I wonder what other forums played April fools jokes, too.
Well, the joke was funny for a while, because I thought the website had
caught a virus. I heard from a friend at school that there was going to be a
bug/virus type deal that was going to be sent out soon that doesn't even
let you log in at the start up of your PC. It locks your computer up so that
you can't use it. So I thought the fools joke was the beginning of the wrath
of that virus/bug thing.

I cracked up when I saw that every "Spyro" had been changed to "Cynder."
So.... what are some April Fools jokes you guys have pulled in the past?

Re: General Discussion - 2
When I was younger, I think about 1st grade or so, my dad got a call from the school principal about how well I was doing with learning to read and wanted to know about what my parents did early. He called my mom and said in an "unhappy" voice "The principal called" and then she was all like "Uh oh what happened?" xD It was sort of like a half April fool's.
Everyone knows I only eat Cynder fangirls.

Re: General Discussion - 2
Nice.
Well, the school principle made a joke to the students during testing time
Wednesday. Here's the story.
It was Wednesday morning, and the whole high school was in their home
rooms getting ready to take the Stanford test. After every body had their
test and was beginning to start, the principal said over the school intercom
that every grade had the tests of the wrong grade level. She said that
everyone needed to pack up the tests and fix the problem. Well, right
when everyone was getting up to turn in the tests to the teachers, she
said "April fools, now enjoy your test." Everyone in the school was pis sed.

I think it's rather good. The entire school pranked.

It would be good if the government tried to do that. I wonder how people would react then?

Re: General Discussion - 2
True. And then the pres would get assassinated. But we shouldn't talk
about that.
... So I'm in a free-running mood. Either that, or go in my front yard and
play my electric guitar real loud. I don't play annoying, fast,
crappy "solos," I play smooth, and most of the time soft, music. So the
neighbors will have something to listen to if they're in a bad mood.
Hmm,, I like being nice to people. It's sometimes theraputic, too.
