Ornlu stood up and stretched, yawning sleepily. He was hoping that the burns would allow him to sleep for a bit, but since he was up...may as well do something. so, he slipped into the shadows and walked away, testing his renewed body.

Rainbow watched Ornlu melt into the shadows and rolled her eyes. She then picked up the sleeping hatchling and put him onto the cushions that Ornlu was just sleeping on. She then walked into the middle of the room.

"Are you completely healed then, Ornlu?" She asked out loud as she looked around to see if she could see him.

Ornlu appeared behind her and put his claw on her shoulder in an attempt to freak her out. "I dunno, am I?" he asked as he laughed, "I can think of a good way to find that question out..."

Rainbow had heard him coming at about the last minute, so he didn't scare her as much as it would have done others, though she did flinch on reflex. She turned to face him.

"And what test may that be? I have a pretty good idea, but why don't you enlighten me?" Rainbow asked in a mock-flirty way.

"And what's that suppossed to mean?" Rainbow asked in a hurt voice, though it was obvious she was putting it on. Her scales seemed to ripple as she turned a shade of dark grey, her horns and wing membranes turned jet black. She then got into a slight crouch, and looked around the room. She then looked straight up at the ceiling and paused for a moment before straightening up and waiting for an answer.

"What were we talking about before I got healed?" Ornlu asked from beside her. "Oh and if you are wondering why I am popping in and out and somehow everywhere...I'm a theif, and therefore I should be everywhere."

"I know, I can do something similar." Her scales then rippled again as she turned herself invisible, looking as if she was made of water. She then darted off, so fast that she was effectively invisible. When she could be seen again, she was clinging upside down onto the ceiling. "Though I admit your tricks are pretty good too."

"Huh...is that the best you can do?" Ornlu laughed, "I couldn't see you yet I could barely hear you." He faded again, envying her ability to turn colors, "What else can you do?"

Rainbow crawled down the wall, she didn't like to admit that he was right about the sound thing. Climbing on walls had the horrible drawback of being easily heard by the sharp-eared.

"I'm an above average flyer, but that's about it. I think I am suppossed to be a fire dragon, but I can only just sustain a flame, I've had no practice with it as the Dragon who raised me was an Ice Dragon. Sure he could teach me how to actually breath fire, the mechanics are the same, but I can't do anything with it except start fires. Though there was one time when it came in handy when someone got too close to me without permission."

She smirked at the memory, he certainly wouldn't be having fun in that way again. She then leapt into the centre of the room without opening her wings. As she did so she changed colours again, she had no idea why she wanted to be that colour at that second, she just did. She turned a shade of jet black with white horns and wing membranes, though her eyes remained royal blue, as they were the only things she couldn't change. She tilted her head to one side to see if she could hear Ornlu.

Ornlu visibly froze and growled angrily, "What the hell is wrong with you!" he shouted as he banged his tail against the wall, "Change back now!" he continued, raging deep inside.

She now looked like her. The eyes were off, but it didn't matter. the sheer fact that looking at the colors like that sparked deep, deep depression. The sheer amount of emotion pouring through his body was enough to driv ehim insane...if only she would change back. However, he did know that now that Rainbow saw him react this way, she wouldn't. So he left the room, raging silently.

(Oh, and this is only to keep the RP alive.)

Rainbow had frozen half-crouched throughout Ornlu's outburst, while he had been obviously upset and angry she had been visibly shocked and dumbstruck. As he walked off she actually did as she was told for once and turned a shade of sandy-brown, with yellow wing membranes and maroon-coloured horns. She thought about running after him and asking what was wrong, but she knew from experience that she would either get blanked, or get decked. But, she had no idea what she'd done, something about the colour she changed maybe? She usually loved winding other creatures up, but that wasn't the kind of reaction that she favoured. She resolved to pretend like it never happened, maybe he would tell her and maybe he wouldn't, she certainly wasn't going to change to that colour in front of him again, what was it, black and white? She let the subject drop and went over to check on Karnak.

(Yeah, where is everyone?)

((I'm guessing there is a little chain of inactivity in this thread. It seems to me that Blaze is waiting for Kjakings (or anyone else for that matter) to respond to his post. And I, for no real reason, was waiting for Blaze to post.))

Drostan slowly continued his surveying of the wall, walking around the edges of the Resistance's base. Quite abruptly, he stopped, seeing a "small" opening within the wall. "Huh," he stated quietly as he crouched down and peered through the opening. "Its small, but . . ." he trailed off.

Once she had checked that Karnak was alright and just sleeping she left the medical room and made her way back to the meeting hall. She saw no sign or anything suspicious, like assassins or anything, and she also didn't see Ornlu. She entered the meeting hall just as Blaze commented that there was an 'intruder'.

"Huh? Intruder?" She asked.

Cynder turned around to look at Ignitus, and quickly put on her 'annoyed/mothering' face, and looked at the small hatchling. "Ignitus, what are you doing in here? I told you, the last time you 'got lost' and 'stumbled' into one of our meetings, incase you had a sudden bout of amnesia, that if I caught you in here again then I'd have you grounded for a month." Cynder told her son, meaning 'grounded' in the literal sense, the Resistance's psychic dragon, or someone who was adept at magic, to place a spell over a hatchling's wings, stopping them from flying. And for Ignitus, or any young hatchling who just learned to fly, that was the greatest torture imaginable.

Ignitus lowered his head in resignation, his lustrous eyes cast to the ground. "Sorry..." he muttered, guilt sweeping over him. His tail hung between his legs as he turned away from her. He couldn't bear to meet her emerald eyes, eyes that held a maternal fury to them.

"Not to pry Cynder, but I'm sure he merely wants to see and hear what we're doing about trying to free his father. It never is easy having to grow up without a father, a mother, or both, as you and some of us know," Blaze advised. He sighed in lament. "If Spyro was here with us, this war may have been ended long ago."

The assassin could see the destination looming upon the horizon. A smirk alighting itself on his face, he jetted off in that direction, keeping a watchful eye out for any who may betray his presence. "You will fall, you wretch. With you gone, the resistance will be demoralized, and we will claim victory."

"Tell him how he can help Cynder." Rainbow said as she walked up behind Ignitus, giving her a sly wink as she did so, she hoped Cynder would catch on, if the hatchling thought he was helping he would likely leave the adults alone.

Cynder sighed as she conceded Blaze's point. "That is true Blaze, although I didn't really get a chance to grow up, and Spyro had Ignitus for the brief time I knew him, he was kind." She said, and then looked at Rainbow and smiled, slightly. "That is a good idea. Ignitus, go and talk to the other hatchlings about any plans you can come up with that might help us. Remember, we're gonig through the ruins, and include some of the bipedal cubs too. Children of all races are more imaginative than the adults." Cynder said, hoping that she knew enough about the phases of children from her firstborn son, Volteer, who was now relatively mature, and her daughter, Cyril, who was only a year or so younger than Volteer but much more mature.

She thought she knew however, that children about Ignitus' age was easily distracted, and 'serious' war-talks between hatchlings would end up with them playing them out, which would then lead to full-on role-playing/playing, which would then, hopefully, make them forget what they were originally doing in all the fun and laughter. She hoped.

Then Celeste, whom everyone who had just about forgotten, took in a deep breath and her eyes snapped open. "Cynder, I think he's coming. I can't be sure, but I detected a faint electrical presence I haven't encountered before, and I make it a point to visit every eletrical dragon in the Resistance. It may be a newcomer, but it may also be an assasin. I had to strain to catch it, and then it was only a whiff, but he, yes, definitely a he, is coming."

"Tell me where to wait and I'll rip him apart before he even gets a good look around to hunt for his target." Rainbow said in a low and menacing voice, while at the same time her sandy brown colour rippled and changed into a deep burgundy colour, her horns meanwhile changed to chocolate brown.

Celeste and Cynder both shook their heads in unison and said "No" in the same breath. They looked at each other, grinned, and Cynder let Celeste speak. "No Rainbow, this one is powerful. I think we should let him get in close, that we've gotten lax on our protection of Cynder, while you're 'invisible' up above, and Blaze, Frost, Canicia and I are hiding nearby. When he gets here, you pounce on him, and call for the rest of us. We'll overpower him, and get him retreat or... or worse." Celeste said, looking around at those in the room and wondering what happened to Karnak.

"Do you really think Ikazuchi will be that easy to fool?" Blaze inquired. He shook his head, a knowing grimace on his visage. "He's caught me off guard several times. His strategic planning is nigh flawless... and hardly anything surprises him. He's calculating. Don't underestimate him."

Frost's sapphire eyes flashed as they turned to gaze at Cynder, Celeste and Rainbow. "How do you think Blaze got all of those scars in the first place?"

Canicia scowled. "I, we all, know of Blaze's history, and what Ikazuchi is capable of. Celeste's plan is not the best, but do you honestly have a better one?" The ice dragon asked frostily, looking around the room as if to challenge someone like the young males of old.

"Yes, I do, actually. Ikazuchi has a longtime grudge against Blaze, because Blaze always got the last laugh against him," Frost stated. She looked at the scarlet male, concern in her eyes.

"You're planning for me to be live bait?" Blaze asked flatly. A nod from the ice dragoness answered his question. "Anything else you have to add to that?"

"Of course. Ikazuchi may be focused on Cynder, but his grudge with Blaze almost always takes priority before everything else. If Blaze were to meet him and confront him, Ikazuchi would turn his attention to Blaze. You may be able to wear him down enough to be caught, and you're also the best one here to counter his strategies in a battle. It'd be an even playing field," Frost finished.

Ornlu was watching them from above, and snickered quietly. He knew whoever it was was coming...and overheard that it was one of electricity. Meaning he would have to be careful. One jolt and he could be gone for good.
