Anyone hate the original games?

Which would also lead to some members being warned not to flame or mabye banned for a short time. Personnally i don't hate the orginal games as its what started spyro off.

I love all the games for what they offer. Each series has problems of their own...but I always view the positive before the negative.

There were faults like you said i can't denie that, but to be honest i just didn't notice them unless any of my non-spyro friends saw them. you cant please people these days lol

Most people are not that hard to please. Their expectations can be set to intense levels while the vast majority are content to be pleased by the most simple of means. As the overall intelligence of society decays I can quite tell if people are easier or harder to convince lol....0.o....

i think if you can't appreciate the old spyro games then why are you play spyro? It's how the whole seires started off with that game.

Well some fans are kids all aged about 11-15 who are just picking up on this series now. Heck the originals came out when I was only 10...so most would have no idea that their actually was an original series of games...unless they learned about them before.

I know, thats a shame really to be honest as people should know about what started it off and not just jump straight into the series.

Well most don't care. They see what they want to see. It's a lot like some of the older fans not wanting anything to do with the new games because they can't see anything different from what they were originally given. Same thing except for a younger generation who is obsessed with the LoS and can't picture anything else.

However even though its their choice to go with one series, its best to embrace both of them as they are both good series and its still carrying on spyro which is the best thing really. smile

I grew up with the classics, and now live with the next gen, and I pitty the next generations that will be unable to experience the classics as we were, while growing up, truely we will be a one of a kind generation

Im part of that generation as i grew up with old spyro and technically im still growing up with the new ones so its best for me to liek them both. Just got to see how things go from the film onwards.

Good for you, Spyro Master tongue I also grew up with the first three games and treasured them and now I'm growing up with all the new games and I think they're just as perfect as the originals.

All I played when I was a preteen was Spyro. Then I fell out of it for years and hated the new games when they came out. Seeing as how it's better then having nothing at all I grew to be satisfied with them.

there's no reason to hate them, they are just different from what you were used to, and different isn't necessarily bad

Eh they are just acting upon the instinct granted to them through experiencing only one thing and then keeping their minds completely closed off to something else. Change is inevitable I'm afraid....but this wasn't a bad change.

No one can hate the originals. They are the best PS1 games ever in my opinion.
I love both the originals and TLOS.

Same here, but to be honest people who say that they dont like the originals either because they started with TLOS or they don't think that its good because of the graphics.

i dont hate any spyro game...hell ill even play AHT since i havent...i really like TLOS and the first and 3rd of the Ps1 series...3 was okay but it wasnt as good in my opinion

All Spyro games are brilliant. Personally, the first three on the ps1 are started my love for these games. I've played them all my life.

I personally think that not many people hate the originals. The only possible reason why is because they find the original spyro fans annoying.

Not always true. I've met gamers who have never liked Spyro because of the corny gameplay involved. That and I guess they were annoyed by anything involving a purple dragon trying to do stuff 0.o

Oh yeah, I forgot about those people who just dont like the Spyro games because its not that kind of game. But I think what I meant was that the only people who have a grudge against it, like some original fans have towards TLOS
