Re: Krome Studios or Estranges Libellules?
I think had EL done the entire series it would have been a lot better then if Krome did the whole thing....but I guess I could have been happy either way. I really don't like to vision what DotD would have been like using Krome instead though....

What? Spyro and Cynder would still be little dragons, without being a plothole on how they grew up within the Time Crystal, when EL was decided to make DotD. Cynder wouldn't have her iron jewelry mysteriously put on her without anyone asking questions on how she got them on in the first place. Though I wish EL would've kept TEN's design and stll have Spyro and Cynder fly, so there would've be any questions on how they grew up.

Re: Krome Studios or Estranges Libellules?
Hence why I would go with the option that EL created the whole series to begin with.

Re: Krome Studios or Estranges Libellules?
Well wasn't very smart in my opinion...but I can see why they made the change. I couldn't see DotD being made by Krome....but that certainly would have been interesting with those model designs and whatnot.

Re: Krome Studios or Estranges Libellules?
Yes it's a very big plothole. Technically they didn't age at all due to the time crystal they were trapped within....they just used the whole teenage look and idea to make it all fit together somehow. Just another one of the many mistakes in the game development.

Re: Krome Studios or Estranges Libellules?
And yet another example of how BIG BUSINESS rushed the deadline and the final product seemed to have 50% of the potential it could've had with another year in the development studios. What separates the really big time developers from smaller names like Krome or ELB is they can afford to take more than a year to develop a game sine they generally have an influx of staff and have multiple departments working on different games, so that the company always has something coming out. Take Square Enix. While Square's Final Fantasy team is slaving over FF XIII, the Final Fantasy spin-offs department, KH department, and other departments have been pumping out games like mad to keep Square fanboys' minds off of why FF XIII has taken so long. And those games have been good!

And another plothole, is how Cynder got her iron jewelry back on her when she was frozen in time. It didn't make any sense at all, they could've just left them out.
And we don't know if Spyro and Cynder will remain teens in the next Spyro game or look like little dragons again and still free-fly.

Re: Krome Studios or Estranges Libellules?
All depends on what developer they use I'm sure. If they keep things with EL we will be sure to see exactly what we had...only better I hope.
As for the whole jewel thing they pinned it on the idiotic notion of "magic" or something like that. Clearly just a random excuse to keep the nagging fans of their back about it.

Re: Krome Studios or Estranges Libellules?
Or maybe they want us to have the feel of the Spyro movie coming out this year. Spyro and Cynder are teenagers in the movie, exactly like they are in DotD, and Cynder has her iron jewelry on her too.
Still the teenager growth on the dragons and the sudden appearance of the iron jewelry on Cynder plotholes still kinda bugged me.

They bugged me for a little bit but then I was just like "screw it" and kinda forgot about them. I can manage that much.

Re: Krome Studios or Estranges Libellules?
Yeah I'm looking for that information to come out sometime after the movie. They should be in no way looking to rush these things. They have plenty of time to make a great game.

Re: Krome Studios or Estranges Libellules?
Yeah but I think the odds are pretty heavy that Krome will have nothing to do with Spyro again...

Re: Krome Studios or Estranges Libellules?
Yeah, I get this feeling Sierra's just going to jump ship and do another developer swap. I know Blizzard has a lot of in house developing teams, so one of those might gain control over the next Spyro game. <.<;

Re: Krome Studios or Estranges Libellules?
Who the heck knows. All of this stuff will be up in the air for quite a long time. If anything the soonest we will know about it will be sometime around the movie release.

Re: Krome Studios or Estranges Libellules?
All the previous spyro games have failed because, suprisingly, lack of money. Small studios cant afford to work on their game long enough, thereby the game has a high change of having major flaws, plotholes ect... (notice that i didnt say anything about sucking so tlos basher-bashers can go back to their little caves)
Thats why there is atleast one good thing if blizzard takes over Spyro. They get far enough money from the subscibers of world of warcraft (multiply 11 million subscibers with ~10 euros a month). Yeah, and as LordCrump10 said, blizzard has many inhouse dev teams who could work on the next spyro game.
Funny how money affects to everything.

Re: Krome Studios or Estranges Libellules?
Even the something that i know about blizzard, is that they are enthusiastic in picking up game projects, mainly because they have a big amount of dev teams and lots of money.
So no, ATLEAST I dont think they would let EL do the next Spyro, such a mediocre game studio it is.
If they had the power to decide, that is.
