I may be proud of my country, but I really want to go to somewhere around UK instead... (and one of the reasons is so private that only 2 people know that particular reason)

Ž · Well, you're probably the one who knows most about that instead of the other 2 of us.
You actually quite miss out at some when you live in the U.S. As far as I've seen, the U.S. has completely eliminated all signs of the very old traditions and traditions that show the nationalism of the people and may just not be culture-wise anymore, unlike most countries in Asia that follow their traditions and cultures very loyal. (e.g. the provincial parts of this country, which is like more than 9/10 of this country)

Re: what country
Yes, I agree, but the US doesn't really have a set culture. It's just a bunch of different cultures put together from whoever happened to immigrate there.

Ž · So I see... thaqt this country have actually started nothing at all... >_> what, just worked its way up into the country rankings and got to it's highest peak, and now it's just living like it's just living... >_> Hm, the part that most people admire about it is that it's one of the richest countries and therefore more people migrate there to get the better jobs and that's what results in the better surroundings of the country itself... >_> (US is the main culprit of a country's brain drain...!)

Re: what country
That comment reminded me of a book I had to read last summer for school, The Jungle. It was about a family who came to the US looking for a job and opportunity, but the main character ended up on the street.

Ž · What the hell (referring to plot)? Actually, some of those things I stated above were exaggerated, but most of them are my very opinion according to my data, though.

Re: what country
Nyaha, that book was written a while ago. That really is what used to happen though. And it still does happen. We have Mexicans crossing the border all the time, and the government just sends them back. The ones that don't get caught usually have to work in factories and fast food restaurants because no one wants to hire them. And then people complain that they're taking jobs that US citizens should have. Right....

Re: what country
Ž · It's very ironic, but that's where you can plainly determine the people who are motivated and the people who just want money (AKA greedy).

Re: what country
Ž · Pulubi: Naghihirap talaga kami dito, kailangan namin ng pera! [Poor: We're having a big hardship here, we need money!]
Gobyerno: O sige, ito trabaho o. [Government: Alright, then. Here's a job-]
Pulubi: Hindi, ayoko trabaho, gusto ko pera. [Poor: No, I don't want a job. I just want money]
...typical conversation I always display in my mind about why there are squatter's areas in this country by a lot.

Re: what country
That's pretty much the opposite of here. The poor actually work hard, but they can't get jobs because they're "minorities". *rolls eyes*

They're unable to get one? Or are they forced to not-have one?

Re: what country
People just don't want to hire them because they're supposedly not as intelligent. They have to work at jobs that pay minimum wage just becuase they're not "American," even though they actually are, living in SOUTH America.

Ž · Huh, wherein the 'wrong-doing' lies in those who don't employ them because they don't even want to gauge them, and just percept their own belief without any proof except for what they see on the outside.

So basically... prejudice. They might be more intelligent than their employer, but all some people care about is what people look like. Like having light skin makes you automatically intelligent or something; it's completely ridiculous.
