Re: SNOW!!!
Black-ice isn't.... Though if you hit it on purpose it is! Wizzing around car-parks is fuuuun!
My town didn't get loads of snow, though on the 12th, everything was white.... It pieved me off that I was in Tenerife at the time...... MEH!! X(

Re: SNOW!!!
Now that is a tough choice, hot weather in Tenerife or a rare opitunity of snow in the UK, i think i will go with the snow as i prefer the cold XD

Re: SNOW!!!
Yup, similar dilemma for me. But at the end of the day, I got to go to Tenerife, and although I love snow, I wouldn't miss a trip out there for it! We nearly didn't go in the first place because we were flying from Manchester, which was one of the areas worst hit by snow. Not to mention the fact that we had to cross the Pennines in order to actually get to Manchester! Lol, over a metre of snow.... Awesome.

Re: SNOW!!!
Yes black ice is not very fun at all......again I know that through a very non-humorous personal experience.

Re: SNOW!!!
It doesn't matter what kind of car you have....pretty much any vehicle is in danger of it....the only problem is that you will not see it coming until you lose all traction. Then it's just a matter of how well you handle quick thinking if your car already isn't flipped or twisted around.

Re: SNOW!!!
I know one thing when you encounter black ice, don't brake, otherwise it will make it worse.

Re: SNOW!!!
Yes that is one of the things you have to learn pretty quickly around here. A lot of new drivers go off the road at least once before they learn that it's not a good thing to hit the brakes when you drive in snow/ice. You have to really glide the car over ice when you lose traction rather then slam the breaks and go sliding.

Re: SNOW!!!
bump
The temperatures where I live have been swinging wildly. Two days ago, the overnight temperature was -29C (ouch for March x.x) but within a 24 hour period, the temperature jumped 32 degrees up to 3C for most of the afternoon yesterday. And it will be warmer tomorrow. (mushy mud on my white khakis, nooooo.....)
