Re: General Discussion - 2

Unless I see sources I don't believe anything that involves a stupid asteroid. If it happens it happens. Nothing we can do to change it.

Re: General Discussion - 2

Yeah you do that. Because I can't believe someone who says an 800 mile long rock just missed the freaking earth....and wow.....I watch the news every day and didn't hear about it.

Re: General Discussion - 2

the only thing I found so far is that a astronomer in Texas seen a fire ball that could of been a meteor on Fox News.com but I don't think that's it.

I should ask my instructor if he can give me a source or a website to see if this thing was true.

Re: General Discussion - 2

Yo, if the meteor wants to come, let it come and kill us. This world would
be much better without humans on it, anyways. Humans are the base of all
sin, so if there were no humans... well, I could also argue why not to kill us.

Wow, that's sick. Well, I will totally forget about the meteor by tomorrow,
unless I come strutting along and re-read one of these posts by accident.

My mind is all over right now, so my bad if I confuse you at this moment.

Re: General Discussion - 2

Umm yeah, I did hear about that meteor passing close by not long ago. It was close enough, but definitely was not predicted as dangerous anyways. It may have been more newsworthy if scientists predicted that it was an actual threat. And yes, there are estimations of other meteors coming close by in the near future. I don't know if they're threats though.

P.S. no, the meteor wasn't 800 miles long silly

Re: General Discussion - 2

Likely not, but the odd meteor may contain organic compounds that's revealing of the solar system billions of years ago (carbon-rich meteorites). I studied meteorites and such with a grad student last summer, so I know I'm not pulling info out of my aşş.

Re: General Discussion - 2

The earth has been hit by vast amounts of debris for thousands of years...now I'm pretty sure that an "800 mile" long rock would have been mentioned in the news or something...if it came anywhere close to this planet....but in the end....what does it matter. If some stupid thing like Armageddon happens their is nothing we can do about it....we will all go up together.

Re: General Discussion - 2

Yeah right... Like we're all dying because of one little meteor. An eight hundred mile long one. Hmmm... I believe those are called dwarf planets.

Re: General Discussion - 2

If this were true... and we found a way to send nukes into space...

Well, they say we have enough nuclear weapons to blow up the world several times over... but I don't believe in this asteroid. Anyways, I don't want to argue over this, so I won't respond if anyone says something about this post.

Re: General Discussion - 2

This is why I need to figure out how to disarm every nuclear weapon in the world at once. I don't like nukes. So impersonal and clumsy. Bit like bombs. Like once Hitler had a bomb thrown at him, but only his trousers were blown off. Weird.

Awww... I like your weird part. Weirdness is more interesting. And the more interesting something is the more fun it is. And the more fun it is, well that's where the logic ends.

Heh.

Re: General Discussion - 2

Make sure you guys stay on topic...and way back to some post about the asteroid not doing much...I think if some asteroid was about 800 miles long...which is roughly as long as Texas...it would do quite a bit of damage.

Re: General Discussion - 2

If an asteroid that big did hit the Earth it would have HUGE consequences on the whole world......

Worst case scenario: Human race goes the path of the dinosaurs...

But again that might be a good thing for the planet since if that if happen and if the Earth recovers from that hit after a couple of thousand years(which is really nothing if you watch the whole universe) the eco system would probably got normal again......

...

On the other news I started reading the manga Berserk a few days ago and I'm totally loving it. It's awesome! The graphic is great, the story is great, characterization is good, the relationship between the characters is great ,it's bloody as hell and violence and gore is through the roof! It's just awesome!!!

Great. And I live in Texas. Whoop-dee-do, I'm excited.

So imagine if this was Earth: :explodes:
We'd be doomed.
