Re: The thinking thread

*smiles amused* Age makes not the mind, just because you were born an evolutionary millisecond before me, doesn't make you better. Argue with me and you'll get your butt kicked from here to the "assumed" Atlantis. I like to assume. Makes things more interesting. For instance, I just made you get angry through assuming. It's called manipulating and it's a hobby of mine.

Re: The thinking thread

I know your tring to get me angry but once calm it will be hard to anger me again. oh don't even try to Insult Mario or Spyro that won't get me angry many tried but it failed.
You'll understand when your older that you can't go out into the world with that kind of additude you won't get through life so change it while your young.

Wow....

You live by the rules of Adam Smith do you? You're still stuck in stage one if you believe that humans only require goals for wants and needs and that's it. Read up a little more. Game theory perhaps. Make the darn thread what's it's intended to be. A thinking thread.

But you've been bantering pessimism and condenscending comments for the last page or two of this thread as far as I'm concerned.  roll

Re: The thinking thread

Oh, FYI I WILL NEVER LISTEN TO ANYONE YOUNG THAN ME!!! TRY TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO AND YOU FOUND A QUICK WAY TO *Bleep* ME OFF!!! SO BACK OFF ACEEDWIN!!!*Growls*

Yeah, I'm the one going too far. But I'm bored of this argument. I just get insulted big_smile
Anyway I do think all a human can mentally live on is a goal and determination. Other things, like religion, are nice to have, perhaps true, but not needed for a human to stay sane.

Re: The thinking thread

Yeah, Athiests do have a beliif though also, they beleive in nothing at all happens when you die! I think that a religion or beleif of some kind, yeah you could live without it, but it would sure make a humans nerves pent up. I'm a christian so I have someone to talk to, God. But I couldn;t imagine what MY personal life would be without the beleif... (Please don;t start a relegious fight! I only made that statement as an example!)

Oh and also you always end up getting insulted because you insult everyone else then expect them to be sane with it! ( I usually am, but other people, like Mario Spyro might not be!)

Re: The thinking thread

If you (Particularly Wolfgurl and Swaffy) don't stop bringing up religion, I'm afraid I'll have to remove the statements from your posts, and if it continues maybe a ban. SR has banned these types of posts for a reason. These do not apply to Spyrochat, but here it does.

And Aceedwin: This is your last warning. Stop trolling.

Re: The thinking thread

To the dictionary!

Let's see here...

Institutions are structures and mechanisms of social order and cooperation governing the behavior of a set of individuals. Institutions are identified with a social purpose and permanence, transcending individual human lives and intentions, and with the making and enforcing of rules governing cooperative human behavior. The term, institution, is commonly applied to customs and behavior patterns important to a society, as well as to particular formal organizations of government and public service. As structures and mechanisms of social order among humans, institutions are one of the principal objects of study in the social sciences, including sociology, political science and economics. Institutions are a central concern for law, the formal regime for political rule-making and enforcement. The creation and evolution of institutions is a primary topic for history.

Thanks wikipedia. Nope don't need it. I'm pretty sure all this is is justice, which is tied in with social morality, which I am living proof that you don't need.

Re: The thinking thread

I think it best not to make yourself proof on a certain subject find a real source of proof don't use yourself as evidence. well that's what I think anyway I could be wrong.

Re: The thinking thread

Hmmm....can you ever be satisfied. Well I guess that would depend on the standards that you set for yourself....I for one will be satisfied when I have accomplished things in my life that require some major commitment and hard work....and some people are satisfied through hard work...while many others are satisfied to do just...nothing.
