(ortumis's eyes were slowly starting to close but he kept them open for he did not want to fall asleep in case anything bad happened) "i have to stay awake no matter what" said ortumis to himself

Spyro felt like his head was going to explode, his mind seemed to be melting and he couldn't thing stright. The little voice knew this, and used it to It's advantage.

As Spyro began to untie Cynder the voice spoke ,"You shure stepped in it this time purple punk." it sais shathingly. Spyro ignored the voive and began untiing Cynder again ,"Be careful, hell hath no fury like a woman, or in this case girl, scorned. And now that you have failed her TWICE now, I'm shure she's going to hate your guts to no end."

"But I can't just leave her like this," Spyro thought hazily.

"Why not, she will survive if you feed her," the voice said in Spyro's mind ,"and," It said as if an afterthought,"She will be alot easyer to deal with if she can't talk all the time..."

That was all Spyro needed to make up his rather sluggish, pain addlled mind. He turned back to Cynder and spoke in a clear, resounding voice that in no way showed how he was feeling, "Cynder, give me 3 good resions I should let you out of your shackles? And sparks, you rather anoing buzzing beast, what's in my being kind to you, going to do for me? Oh yes," he truned back to Cynder ," How dare you complain about being tied to a chair, I have been in the same posision for hours stairing at you, because I couldn't look anywhere else and now I have a cramp that would kill a horse in my neck!" As if to substanchate the clain, Spyro turned his head to the left sharply. A resounding CRACK filled and ecoed about the room.

sparx started to thinck before he got angry again he was very woried about spyro but at the same time he was VERY hungry so he calmed his voice and spoke "come on spyro Im your best freind and if I dont get eny food Il die and we might need me to escape"

"3 good reasons?" Cynder croaked. "Ok, Spyro. 1, because that is what a friend would do for his friends. And I'm your friend. 2, because I can't reach the food or water while tied to this chair, and 3, because frankly its the right thing to do. If you were in my situation I would not hesistate to untie you. You;re the only one who can untie me, I can't untie myself, and Sparx over there is locked in a cage, even if he weren't, he couldn't untie me, he's too small.Yes you do have a big crink in your neck, but I've been gagged and unable to speak for I don't know how long..at least you've been able to breathe through your mouth, Spyro.' Cynder said stiffly. Her throat was parched and it was hard for her to speak.

"We are searching for Spyro and the others, they've been gone too long"Cyril replied. "go back to sleep, I'm sure They'll find Spyro Cynder and Sparx by morning, and will get back here soon.. Now go back to sleep Annie. Ortimus is already asleep."

It will be awhile unfortunately, howv long exactly; days, weeks, months, I couldn't say at this point. His injuries are quite bad, and he's aggravated them by flying around, I know his motives were pure, but he never should have left the camp.." Cyril said.

The voice changed tact in a heartbeat saying, "How could you be so heartless as to even think about not helping your friends, you should be ashemed for yourself,"

Speeking out loud, Spyro said ,"It was YOUR idea!"

"I was testing you," the voice said quickly hoping that Spyro wouldn't quwstin It further ,"and, somehow, the purple hore of agas fails his frienns AGAIN, you suck at this don't you? And that's a retorical question, so don't anser."

Feeling sightly foolis and betraied. Hoping to make some kind of amends for his sins he promptly gave Sparks some food [whitch look suspisosly like manure] and somehow managed to push the water dish over to him so he could reach out a hand and pool in the water.

Turing to Cynder an ida come to him, it wasn't as much an idea as an impulse. He bent close to her and said the first thing that came to his mind ,"Untill it sleeps". As he spoke those words he spun with speed that gave him a mild shock and slashed throuth the bindigs the held Cynder in her place.

As Cynder was shruging off the now cut bindings Soyro was walking toard the farthist corner, away from her and Sparks. He sat in the darkest part he could find and closed his eyes, hoping for an excape, the last thought that went through his head was, "What am I doing?"

sparx was just finishing stufing his face when he sore the other two and felt kinda akward "soooo enyyone else want some" he said triying to brighten the mood wich right know looked paticuly darck

Cynder fell to the ground, exhausted and sore. The ropes had bit into her skin, and blood dripped from the cuts. She grabbed the water and drank deeply, feeling the cool water run over her tongue and down her throat. She wheezed, and slowly got to her feet. She went over to Spyro and sat down by him. He seemed to have a conflict going on within himself, as an adult she had been trained to read the minds of others by the dark master, while his initial purpose of teaching her how to do it, was to further his control over her, now that ability would be used for thier benefit. She saw Sparx offer some of his food. "No thanks Sparx, you eat it.. I've got to help Spyro here"

She put her claw on Spyro's shoulder.
"Spyro" She said in a calm friendly voice. "Spyro, keep fighting. I know that there is something inside that is trying to control you, it is that thing that has been making you say and do all those hurtful things. If it was truly you saying and do those things, I would have been very hurt. But I know its not you, so I take what you and say and do in stride".

(ortumis was waking up slowly he looked over at annie) "ortumis i was wondering when youd wake up I have to say im proud for doing something couragous for saving my life when you still have wounds"she said (ortumis looked at annie but said nothing just simply turned away from her in doubht) "well i think i should leave cyril why dont you have a talk with him it might calm him down" annie suggested

When Cynder put her claw on Spyro's sholder it felt as if a cloud break had come about and a little fay of sunshine came into his darkend world, he was pleased to have some light to use in his dark times [but he was far from done]

Mind clearing Spyro finaly noticed the blood upon Cynder's body. Hoping to make her feel as good as she made him feel he [once again] moved as close as possable to her so their scales were rubbing against each outher and started to lick the blood off her. The very moment his toung touchd her bloodied skin, he felt a sudden and disgusting tast for it, he found he loved the taste of still fresh blood [at least, her's] . He continued to lick up the mess, sylently wishing for more.

When he finished, Spyro looked up at Cynder and stated very plainly, in his oun, begraglled, beaten, saddend , voice ,"Cynder, please eat something, I'll... I'll...," he couldn't say "I'll be fine" because he knew he wouldn't. Even if he won his battle, he would still lose the war.

Shaking his purple head, Spyro started again ,"Look, there's no use in worring about me... part of me is fighting this, but the other part is gone, and as you'r one of the closet to me, you are the most in danger," then he turned away and layed down saying ," we have about 5 minets left..."

sparx knew that he could make so many jokes about what spyro just did but he dident he knew these where to sad times for stff like that so he lay dow hand on his chin there was still something that was tipicul he was very board

Cynder was repulsed by what Spyro had done.. "There were other ways of cleaning the blood off" She said to him.. "That was frankly disgusting Spyro. There are limits to what I would do for a friend, and one of those is that I would NOT lick up thier blood, I would let thier own natural defenses slow up the bleeding and eventual stop it. ; Cynder shuddered. "But as you insist." Cynder Cynder over to the bowl, and grabbed some of the brown food. It turned out to be a type of bread. Hard but edible. Cynder wolfed down what she had, and carried the rest over to Spyro. "I've eaten, now you eat... or I'll make you eat" she said, holdind up some of the bread to illustrate her point.

"Boy she's bossy, remember what I said about leaving tied up?" the voice seemed to pop up out of nowhere...

"I can't just tie her up and leave her, it will worse than what's already happend to her,"

"Oh so now you care, but do you remember who got her, no us, no ALL OF US in this mess? You diddn't care about her or anyone but yourself at that moment in time did you?"

Spyro ignored the voice but he felt the words were somehow true, and he felt terrable no that the voice pointed it out to him.

Spyro nibbled upon the bread, eating even less than what he was hitting with his teeth. He turned Cynder and asked ,"How is licking your blood crude and revolting to you?" then turned to Sparks ,"Go ahead, say something smart, I probally dezerive it."

"why is it revolting? simple, it's not something I'd do, nor have I seen many dragons who would do it. You seem to have well, a TASTE, almost a vampiric longing for it, judging by the way you drank it up.."Cynder said. "It was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen, and I've seen the machines executing one of thier prisoners..You need to ignore that voice in your head, no matter what it says, ignore it. It feeds on your doubt and insecurity.."

"Ummmmmmm" Spyro mumbled, still surprised by what the voice had said about Cynder's being correct and her savving him from his little voice.

"But you can't save someone from themselvs... can you now?"

"What? Save me from myself?"

"Yes, haven't you caught on yet? I'm you, I'm the you who fights the evil in this hellhole, I'm the one who defeated Cynder, I'm even the one who saved her, not you."

"No you can't have, I have only lisioned to you for about 3 days now, how could you be the hero everyone knows as me?"

"You still think of yourself as a hero? How foolish, and as for your question, I never needed to talk to you like this before, after defeating Cynder you became soft and weak."

"I had my powers ripped from me, not my choice."

"Yes it was, you became arrogent and proud, and you have started to become close to her."

"Well, if she is so bad for me, then why did you save her?"

"Because she is still useful to us, and yes it's us, not you!!!"

"What do you mean useful? I'm not going to partake in anything that's going to harm her."

"I'll tell you what we mean soon enough, but now we need a way out of here amnd you have already hurt her, but I'll drop that."

"Got any ideas?" Spyro hadden't quite heard himself say he had hurt Cynder before.

"Many but I'll need to borrow our body for a moment."

"WHAT???"

"I need to use this," as the voice said "this" Spyro pointed at his chest and poked, hard. "Oh looks like I don't need your concent anymore,"

As those words were spoken Spyro instantly felt himself slip into a dream state, the softest "no" excaped his lips before he colapsed to his knees, and then, just as quickly,a diffrent Spyro lifted him up. As he did, his normally purple skin changed ever so slightly to a darker purple and grew a shade of red.

Spyro was no longer his, but still himself...

Cynder had heard enough. She jumped onto Spyro and Pinned him to the Ground. She pressed her clawly firmly against the sides of Spyro's head. "Come out of him" She yelled. "So it is you, Spyro_Id" She said in a deep adult voice, it was not her normal voice it was more experienced and powerful. Id is the Fruedian term for the base part of the soul, it is where our primitive instincts lie as well as our less presentable thoughts and feelings. 'Come out of him!" Cynder yelled and two jolts of power courses through her claws and into Spyro's brain. "Spyro's body jerked in pain, and he foamed at the mouth, a bloody foam that was terrible to see but Cynder pressed her advantage: Spyro was changing back, slowly, to his normal color. She heard Spyro say faintly "You can't win... I'll just kee coming back stronger each time. You can have your little boyfriend back for now, but soon he'll be gone forever! Ha ha Ha -arghhh" The voice faded and Spyro returbed to normal. Cynder removed her claws from the side of his head, where they have left impression, and climbed off of him. She had done it, just in time too, as the cell door opened and the guard returned.

The Guard carried two tiny bowls. 'I forgot that we had the worm in here as well..." He chuckled darkly. he then noticed cynder climbing off of Spyro. "Who told you of the master's plan/' he asked, in feigned suprise. 'Since you've already been practicing I might as well tell you. The Master still has use for you Cynder, he has decided to let a fragment of the dragon race survive, as servants. He will breed the two of you, in return for your servitude, he will let you and your chuildren live. The rest of the dragons, including that pesky Ignitus, will be killed. " Both dragons recoiled in horror at what he said,Cynder looked at Spyro and backed as far away from him as she could. The guard laughed wickedly and then looked at Sparx. "Oh and I suppose we'll let the worm live too. He'll keep you company."He said setting bowls of food and water into Sparx's cage. "Since I forgot earlier, you three will get an extra 15 minutes while he eats, after that its bedtime,' he pointed to a pile of straw in the far left corner. "Good night , servants" He laughed a final time as he strode to the door, shut it behind him , and locked it.

sparx had already eaten the disgusting food so he set it to one side "you know you dont have to do what they tell you if you dont want to..........you know then fight back" he said to both of them in a rather combterfing voice wich suprised even himself
