Re: Are Spyro and Cynder made out of marshmallow?

If they were made out of marshmellow they would bubble and expand every time they were in a hot place or touched lava.

Also, if they were made out of marshmellow, I would eat them.  smile

Re: Are Spyro and Cynder made out of marshmallow?

I can't remember if they ever actually touch lava but yeah, that would harm them, which is why you take damage when you touch lava. But simply being in a hot place wouldn't make them bubble and expand, maybe make them go slightly softer but not actually cause them damage or distort their shape. I've left marshmallows in hot places before, like under a light, and the most that happened is that they sweated a bit in the bag; they were just warm marshmallows.
And I thank you all for your support, I pride myself on thinking up evidence before putting forwards an idea, but I do think Spyro would be blueberry and Cynder would be blackberry.

Re: Are Spyro and Cynder made out of marshmallow?

Well Godzilla isn't a dragon is he? I'm not familiar with the japanese version but as far as I know he's just some radioactivly charged and mutated lizard. If I was to make a theory for him I would lean towards radioactive superpowers, like the radiation causes his wounds to heal faster because his cells have more energy to work with. But then again the godzilla in the American version dies after being hit by a few missiles so...but this isn't a discussion as to whether Godzilla's made out of marshmallow so please, don't ask about other creatures...even though I'd probably still try to answer... <_<

Re: Are Spyro and Cynder made out of marshmallow?

They could be made out of the spongy stuff that they make small children's balls out of.

... but they absorb water...

They could just be magic. Magic's the universal plot-hole filler. "How did that portal get there?" "Magic." "Oh... ok... and the giant dragon?" "Magic." "Right. And the floating island?" "Dragged through the portal, which was made by magic, by the dragon, which was conjured by magic." "And the giant demon that  is trying to devour the world?" "Oh, I got bored so I flipped to a random page in my spellbook." "Then you SUCK!" "Erm... the magic controlled me?" "Oh, fair enough. So, how do we kill that thing? OH WAIT NO I CAN GUESS! MAGIC!" "No, we need to get the twelve stones of power before it completes it's magical circuit around the magical world..." *twenty minutes and a long-winded and needlessly over-complicated plan later* "You used magic about three times every sentance. You coulda just said magic." "Screw you!"

Dude, I only got SEVENTY FIVE gems for that post?! THAT POST WAS EPIC! I'm gunna go have a nice long sulk now.

Magical sulk."

Re: Are Spyro and Cynder made out of marshmallow?

Bah, magic is boring, it can explain anything so you only use it if you can't think of another reason. So lets see...you can use magic to explain why marshmallows can breath a variety of different elements...at least until I think of a theory for it. But magic to explain what they're made out of? Nah, the marshmallow theory covers that pretty nicely.

Marshmellows are overrated.

Clearly they are feathers in disguise.

Re: Are Spyro and Cynder made out of marshmallow?

...but feathers can crumple, if you flattened a feather and broke the spine that gives it its shape then it wouldn't pop back into shape, unlike the ever resistant marshmallow. I'll admit that feathers fit the criteria for how they can fly, but I'm afraid they come up short when you take into account the other factors. Nice try though lol.

Re: Are Spyro and Cynder made out of marshmallow?

Well I take all contenders to the marshmallow theory seriously, if they were made out of pebbles they'd sink when they entered water; I'm pretty sure Spyro and Cynder can swim. Plus, they wouldn't be able to fly if they were made out of pebbles.

Re: Are Spyro and Cynder made out of marshmallow?

...I live in England...we don't get american sweets. But now that I know its chocolate I can say that it can break easily. If Spyro and Cynder were made of chocolate then hitting a wall of the floor would make them snap or shatter, or melt when exposed to warmth.

Re: Are Spyro and Cynder made out of marshmallow?

I have a question.

In the frequent times when Spyro and Cynder are exposed to lava/intense heat/flames (There is always atleast ONE of all of those options in EVERY game), and are made of marshmallow, why don't they burn?

I understand your theory for fire-breath, but being thrown at lava, being attacked by flames, and the intense heat of walking next to a river of lava (they always look so non-challant) would burn them completely.

And thanks to you, all I can ever picture in my mind are two marshmallow blobs with legs and wings ><

Re: Are Spyro and Cynder made out of marshmallow?

I'm sure I've answered this before...ah, I did, here's my quote.

I place being burnt under the same conditions as melting and bubbling, just cos there next to a hot place wouldn't mean they'd burn. However, should that explanation not be enough for you then I will endeavour to think up a better explanation...although the fact that they eat red sugar crystals, which look like gems but really they aren't, to replenish the burnt sugar could do I suppose, but really that's up to you whether you accept my explanation.

Re: Are Spyro and Cynder made out of marshmallow?

Yes, but in the Burned Lands, there are little flame shooters that I keep getting the timing wrong on and burning me, and there is no gaping hole of burnt sugar in Spyro's leg now is there?

Well... Maybe the marshmallows have armour in the form of scales. The scales protect form marshmallow threats and the marshmallow protects from being squished.

Re: Are Spyro and Cynder made out of marshmallow?

No, there isn't but it still injures him meaning it does cause damage. Once all the damage he can take has been taken he loses a life, so if you go by that logic, once most of his gooey sweet marshmallowy body has been singed enough then he dies.

Or what Aceedwin said works too.
