I would have to say Zuko from avatar. at the end of course. not when he has a ponytail ( o_O ) That's not a pretty sight. I do agree with aicebo but I am just trying to stick with the topic.

I think it's wrong to call it disturbing, as you can't realy control your emotions, right? And I mean, animated characters have their own personality and such, so I'd say it's fully natural to fall in love with a animated character. It's just like having a crush on a girl/guy you don't know very good... Or actaully, it makes more sense with the animated chars actaully, as you have come to known them even though they don't know you.
So I don't think you should be so.. patronizing (that word is above me, so hopefully we mean the same thing, I and the word). And also, if you have " a crush" (god I hate that expression) on an animated character, that doesn't mean that you don't like the real world, eh? It's just like any other love, just in a slightly... impossible form.

And I can't deny that I also house some... odd feelings for certain animated characters, such as Eve from the Wall-E movie and Cynder (we all know where she is from :-P ), not that I know if I can call it "having a crush" realy, but anyway. wink

*shrugs* Well, if it disturbs you, then leave, no body is forcing you to be in this thread (I know you can shoot back a whole lot of sarcasmic comments to that, please don't). I just think it's quite narrow minded to call such a thing disturbing, I mean, it could actauly hurt someone. If someone falls in love with a fictional character (as I said, it mostly times isn't a choice you make) and someone calls you disturbing, that can break a persons self-esteem quite badly. I mean, who wants to be "disturbing"? If you think someone are disturbing, just leave 'em be, I don't think people wants to know that they are disturbing couse of things they can't control.

It's an open forum and everyone is entitled to their opinions. Yes Jackson did make a pretty poor attempt at drawing out some hostility lol......unless it was just his randomness again...which is always a possibility. I do have to say that Gigan isn't an animated character though lol...

Anyways I'm entitled to my opinion just like you have yours. Do I care if you have a crush on some animated character?..No...I could really care less if you do. I just find it funny because I live in the wonderful world of reality and cartoons are not real people lol.....if you have it good for someone in real life that's fine. If you don't though and all you see are freaking animated characters then start living in the real world.

If you think we are being "mean" people by seeing it rather disturbing in our minds then wake up because that's the point of reality. I'm sorry that if we insult you with our realism...but get use to it because that's real life. If you don't want to be insulted on a thread then don't post it because you will have comments coming at you from all sides.

Good point, RDX, except that I wasn't saying I am the one who's getting insulted, not what I was getting at, I wasn't even getting at that somone here was getting insulted, what do I know about that really? I was trying to say that SOME people MIGHT get insulted by it, and not by points of reality or realism, but by the fact that alot of people here gives the impression that people who happen to like a fictional character are some kind of psychos, and that may hurt somone, that was what annoyed me. :-P

But you're right, I may have overeacted about it. Still think one could be a little more gentle when expressing his opinion.
