Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

I would have thought it's because dragons such as Spyro have a skull as thick as iron.

P.S. You do you keep replying in this topic?

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

Yeah i do, also thats a good point if you look in ETD when you bash him into a wall or something it leaves his face print, which must mean that it's a tough head he has.

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

Well I understand it's fun for the imagination and for those who are really that in depth about the games and such. Nothing wrong with it lol...I just like being direct.

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

*Just now goes to this thread. Images Spyro standing up acting as if a bullet was going to bounce off and not leave a dent in him as if he was metal... but it epicly fails...*

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

Maybe his scales aren't really hard...what if they were really soft like a sponge? Eh, ever think about that? That way he would just absorb the impact and the pain wouldn't cause his squishy insides any harm. Of course if that were true then he'd probably have been skewered by now so I don't think he's made out of sponge...pretty pointless post...but interesting concept. I do have one question though, why does a dragonfly stop Spyro from being hurt? That's always bugged me.

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

I dunno really about the dragonfly bit, but it has always been a part of spyro and always has and anyway crash bandicoot games copied sparx with that floating wooden shield thingy.

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

Well absorbing/eating red crystals seems to make a little more sense to me...as far as absorbing/eating red crystals can make sense anyway. But I have to agree with Reddragonx, I don't think the developers put much thought into why Spyro didn't get hurt when he ran into a wall or fell off a building...but if there has to be a reason then I've decided to stand by my sponge idea.

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

well it is a kids game lol XD so kids wouldnt ask a lot of questions like we are, but im going with what the games say which is not much so i will accept how it protects spyro

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

Well then I think the games promote torture. Just think, if you were prejudiced against dragonflies you could injure Spyro again and again whilst Sparx gets the pain and Spyro just stands there laughing. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that if Spyro was real that would be his favourite past time; getting hit in the face with a hammer and watching Sparx get the pain for it...which actually sounds pretty fun, I hate the little insect.

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

Well aside from being a nuisence, nothing...I guess it's a hate without a reason...well he does make it hard to write a story with him in it and keep the situation in the right mood, I guess that could be why I hate him.

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

...You know what? I've just this second realised that I've not included him in the past 5 chapters...he just disappeared. I may just have Spyro hit in the head with a hammer by another charcater and then make Sparx feel it...or then again maybe not.

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

Well I've just realised that I need him for something so I can't do that lol, maybe I can make him get eaten by Cynder later on.

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

Keep things on topic guys lol tongue.....anyways Sparx is so the reason why Spyro is dent proof in the first games lol....and I really really agree with FB's statement about Spyro sitting their laughing lol.....that's what I would def do.....and in terms of using him in fanfiction...I usually include him to a minimum...but I do have to fit him in somewhere....so I gave him some more uses.

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

I didn't mean to make the topic shift lol sorry for that. But as far as being dent proof is concerned, I have a new theory. Spyro is made out of Sponge, and Sparx is there to stop him from getting skewered. That's why when Sparx disappears Spyro dies, because he can't absorb the damage from sharp objects.

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

Well....maybe since he isn't an adult yet his scales are not fully developed...thus dragonflies were given to the younger dragons so that they would not have to be endangered during their younger years....

Re: Is Spyro dent proof?

Hmm, I can incoporate that into my theory, they're made out of sponge until a certain age when they dry up and become hard scaled dragons. Just think about what happens when you leave your sponge on the side of the bath for a long time? It dries up and goes hard.
