LoS Look-Alike Toys

So I was digging through Amazon.com for a GBA copy of TEN when I came across a line of plush dragon toys that look mighty familiar. These aren't Spyro toys nor are they claiming to be, but I am suspicious of the company's source of inspiration. big_smile

I didn't know there was such a post, but this wouldn't belong in it anyway since these are not actually Spyro toys. They just look mighty similar to certain characters. big_smile

I dont think they're trying to copy spyro or anything, or got any inspirations from it, but Cynder does look a bit similar

Anyway you can't copyright a design of a dragon as they all sort of similar when it comes to what dragons look like.

They don't really look that similar. I mean, the ones that are supposedly Ignitus and Cyril are on two legs. The Cynder one, there are probably plenty of dragons that look like that. I doubt the design of Cynder was completely original.

The only similarities I see are the color schemes. I sort of see where you're coming from with the "Cynder" one, but if I had seen those toys out of the context of this thread, I probably would not have thought of TLoS characters.

Like PARANOiA said, "Ignitus" and "Cyril" are on two legs, for one thing.... And the body shapes are completely different.

Actually, you can copyright a dragon design, just like you can copyright any creation that you make.

Meh. I thought they looked similar mostly because of the color schemes, which are very similar to the LoS dragons'. They're not exact, but the similarity is amusing.

Heh, maybe the LoS dragons are based off these guys. big_smile
