Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Yes Spyro was having dreams...but I think that they were extremely influenced by the Chronicler....because since then he has not had the ability to wield either time or see things in his dreams.....but that was something saved specifically for TEN.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Well he is a very ancient dragon that can control both time and space lol...what a surprise that he can manipulate thoughts as well. I like the character very much...wish that he was used more.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Well I love using him in fanfictions....there is a lot of stuff you can use and go any way with him. Seeing as how we really don't know much about his past and such...it's a gold mine.

which is why i said on another topic i think, perhaps they left plotholes deliberately for people who do fan fictions, or the other option which is they were just lazy XD

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

I don't think that they would really care about the fanfictions lol....I certainly don't see them leaving holes and taking critisicsm for it and not protecting themselves by saying they did it for fanfictions....just not really relevent to their objectives.

developers dont purposely leave platholes, but usually leave viewers to fill in the gaps themselves if they do accidently leave them.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Yeah but if they do that then they at least leave material behind that makes sense when you fill in the gaps....the stuff they left on DotD didn't make any sense to a degree.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

They may of been some kind of memento Cynder came by...or a way to stay in contact with Malefor. The Chronicler also has that crystal hanging around his neck...which makes me wonder if the knowledge of the previous dragons are stored in it as electric nerves signals that send recalled memories through the nervous system to The Chronicler.
I also wonder what those four portals leading to the elemental trial areas were doing at the temple... possibly an early prototype? I was theorizing that portals are unstable and need to be contained for them to last long. That could explain why the portals turn on and off automatically when you approach them in StD. I guess if they stayed open longer than about an hour or less then it will snap close and give off an energy burst, or shockwave, in the process that would damage the portal arch.

I don't care how it looks but how it functions

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

i think you might of hit on those things quite well there trasher i cant see any reasons why they couldn't happen. Also the chronicler theorey and the portal theory sounds the best to me not so sure on the jewelry of cynders however. But i can't think of anything for it though lol

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

The Cynders jewlery couldn't even be explaind by the developers, and saying that it was "magic" was kinda bad because it left no one out to theories. If I hada  theory, I'd say it isn't jewlery. The Weird things maybe locked her up in chains around her wrists but decided to use a stronger force because they knew she and spyro would break free .

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Well looks like there are better thinkers on this forum than the developers at Sierra. Because almost everything has had a better theorey put to it. Like what with Ratchet said about Cynder's Jewelery, it would explain it as they could of collected it from wherever and decided to use it again for chains as ratchet said, but also it could mean that as Malefors minions might of put it on her, that she is still his servant.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

I see no point in really debating the whole jewlery thing....I just think Sierra came up with the magic excuse to fill in the plothole...seeing as how that's the only good excuse they could come up with...but who knows...maybe it was some kind of dark magic just showing us that she was still enslaved in a sense to Malefor's influence. Or it could have just been a clear result of the developer change.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Well i think i will go with the dark magic theorey, although i think sierra's theorey about magic doing it is lazy.

Well yeah, there really isn't an official explanation, but there aren't on alot of things. So I'm going with my theory of "handcuffs"

Well that's certainly the most that we can do. Unless someone here was secretly a developer for the games.
