Re: Dragon Comic Review, look if ya want
DELAYED!!!!!!!!!!!
unfortunately i'm going to have to make the first chapter very short
i've been having drawing problems, probably from my pressuring first week back to school ugh.
i tried to work on a scene today.... but...
anyway this is what i came up with
somethings... happening to me!
sorry! i'll return to making the first chapter when i am drawing better, but until then i'll skip that part
unless you want me to improvise so you can understand what is happening, i'll just write down what is happening, so you can read even more... muhahhaaa....
so i'll be working on the chapter in story mode! yay!

Re: Dragon Comic Review, look if ya want
First Chapter of Leafstorm
Brewing the Storm
Underneath the beautiful lush high canopy of the Giant Tree Scunns, under the layers of lightly, drifting fog, touching the bark of the tree trunks, and misting the dried leaves below, on the wild jungle explosion interweaving upon the top of a fierce mountian, is home to the proud race of the Dragons. Though highly ambitious, somewhat unkind, though a proud race, the high sentinle beings of the world, the Dragons never cease to amaze all the races of the land, good and evil alike, which has been the main cause of the many wars and sieges throughout history.
Which brings to these isolated nesting grounds, safe from the horrors below, where the dragons can raise families in peace. Among many of these family clans, is a pair, a strange pair of dragons, though they keep to themselves, are often seen as a threat from the wiser, maybe aggressive and territorial male dragons, just trying to guard what is theirs.
Light seldom finds it's way, filtering through leaves and wildlife, reaching out to little areas among the Jungle. One of these little clearings of light, among one of the smaller ones, a little outcast spends his days playing among puddles and streams. He is often watched, and observed, though it is not always his father.
Other Dragons come to see this hatchling. They shake their heads, and shame the creature that brought it into the world. Everyone saw this little harmless Dragon as a disgrace to the race. They believe him to be utterly helpless, a runt, a freak of nature, and an embarrassment to live. They forsee his little runty appearance as an omen, a sign of darkness. And they blame the creature that brought him here for bringing darkness to their offspring.
The little runt doesn't know of the other Dragons who shun him from the shadows. He is always quiet, curious of the water, the moisture in the air, and he is always full of questions about the weather. But there is no one to talk to most of the time. His father is almost always gone, hiding his shame, far from the mountain.
The little Dragon would often stare upon his reflection in the water, and question himself, teaching himself about life, since no one else was available. He would always regret looking into these pools. He understands his appearance scares creatures away. He didn't know why. He thought of himself as a normal, ok sort of Dragon. Day and day on, he would always come to a pool, and look into it.
He was surely small. His limbs long and thin, his horns awkward. His scales seemed normal to him, to everyone else, no one has ever seen a Dragon with scales grey as the clouds, wings as black as night and silver as the gems, or as big. At the end of his tail, a black spade rests, hanging gently, and to a Dragon, they summerized that a black spade was considered unlucky in some cultures and clans.

Re: Dragon Comic Review, look if ya want
"Chase?" A low growl sounded far from the shadows of the high trees and dense plants that grew everywhere. The young grey creature stared off at the noise. He always checks that the scent is familair, and not that of another Dragon that has come to rid of him.
"I'm here Father."
He heard the sound of plants breaking and branches and twigs snapping from a force, and a large, mud-red Dragon strode to the little grey Dragon. He was magnificant, and a dragon that can hold his head high, though not for long. The young Dragon, Chase, wasn't sure what to make of his Father visiting him. It was unlike him, so sudden, so bold.
"Day after day, you sit here." His father began. Chase slumped his shoulders and hung his. He is unsure of what he had been doing that would cause him to come down and lecture him so suddenly. "I grow tired of you, mindlessly staring into streams and soil and the air. I can understand if you are truely retarded in the head, I can learn to deal with it."
The young dragon sat there, silent as ever. He understood that a dumb Dragon does not live very long because hardly anyone would care for a creature that will die quickly. But retarded? That just stabbed his heart. He knew he probably wasn't a normal Dragon, he liked his lonelyness, watching and learning. Why would Father not like that?
"...if so I promise you; there are many out there who would take pleasure in taking you far away, probably for an evil purpose, or to kill you, or I can gladly step aside and let one of the Dragons here take care of you quickly. Because believe me, they will not pass up the chance, and I am the only reason you are alive." His father continued to talk. Chase was completely confused. He hadn't been listening. Not even his own father liked him.

Re: Dragon Comic Review, look if ya want
(in terminator voice) I'm back.
when i find a difficult task, i write it down
when i write things down, i come back to life
i am master of the universe
so here we are, taking off where i stopped writing
each character speaks with a different font to reflect their personality and voice, so sorry if it gets hard to read
i only managed to come up with these within two hours
i take quite a while to think, and then picture the scene, then think of whats happening, and then the task of making it
so here!

Re: Dragon Comic Review, look if ya want
That's very fun to read and move along with. LoL, I get kicks from these
kind of stories. Sometimes, people have to enjoy the small things in life...
I wonder what the forum will be like in five years... Who will still be here,
who will be new, and who leaves... [Waiting to say "Oh, the good times"]
