hi, dotd is the first and only spyro game ive played! excellent. i was hooked. i dont play on the ps3 very often at all. in fact this is only the second game ive ever completed! lol is there going to be another one does anyone know?

If I'm remembering correctly, it was confirmed that there will, in fact, be more Spyro games. No one knows what it'll be yet though.

Alternatively, in the Future of Spyro the Dragon forum, we have a thread discussing this subject.

i extremily recomend u to play the other games, buddy... specialy the ps1 ones... i know its faaaaar away from a ps3, but believe me, u gonna enjoy o lot.

As said before try playing some of the earlier Spyro games...so you can see just what Spyro has evolved from in the past 10 years. Glad you enjoyed the game though big_smile !!

Its based on a new beginning.
and yeah, play some of the earlier spyro games.

Yes the movie is based upon ANB...that's what all the sources say right now....so we have to know if they will make a trilogy of movies or not...but you should def play the originals and the first two in the series if you really want to enjoy the full Spyro experience.

I have to agree with the people who are recommending the older Spyro games. The first three are the best IMO.

That they are...the originals were the classics....and they will always be the best. Still don't hold back from trying other ones though.

Yeah, most of the other Spyro games are worth playing. While I personally didn't like them, if you liked DotD, you'd probably like A New Beginning and The Eternal Night as well, since they're the first two in the LoS trilogy. I'd recommend you at least play them or watch the cutscenes on Youtube to see what happened before DotD.

The originals are good games its best to start at the originals and work your way up as you get a sort of time line of what happened until TLOS games which are completely different

yeh exactly they both have their different pros and cons. Also that is what it says in my signature anyway i like both lol XD but as with everything its best to start at the beginning, or in this case because of ANB to go back to before the beginning, oooo thats feels weird typing that, i got a chill down my spine then :-\

Quite possibly we'll have no games this year because we did hear atleast SOMETHING about DOTD by now. Remember the website opened in april

Who knows, maybe it'll come out this year, but yeah, I'm kinda hoping it does come out soon, cuz I can't wait to see what happens after DOTD (a good game btw) and if Cynder and Spyro are, y'know, together.

I got a worrying thought the other day when i completed DOTD,(for the 5th time XD), that if this film is a complete flop, it might kill spyro and DOTD might be the last game if another dosen't come out soon which i doubt. But i think with hindsight i think he will pull through, these big companies can't be affected can they?

There will be a game sometime after the movie comes out. And hopefully it isn't too much of a flop....because it will certainly be a double edged sword.
