My question is, why would you be posting your pic considering the risks of potential disagreements from other people's opinions on your looks? IMO, you're making a very tall order. It's comments like these that tempts and urge people not to comply to your demands.
BTW, you look fine to me, but don't be surprised if someone else says otherwise. I almost want to deliberately say that you look ugly not because of the pic, but because of that last comment you've made.

If you're uncomfortable putting your picture up, you in no way are required to. Other people putting up pictures doesn't mean that you have to.

I think that even if there was someone on here interested in tracking me down or whatever, they could hardly find me from just a picture. =P But like Aicebo said, no one has to post a picture.

It's not like you can google "WHO IS IN THIS PICTURE".

An image is just an image. That's like me saying I can find out and track the guy who was standing next to me at the bus stop by his face. That's not how tracking works, not unless they were registered in a database of some kind.

Even if you could find out what city they were living in based on landmarks in the town (which is still hard to do given how many towns there are in the US alone), you'd still have thousands of people living there.

So really the only people who could find you given only your picture probably already live near enough to you where if they wanted to find you, they could.

But it's not like some pedophile is going to go across the country just for some person whose picture he saw online.

You're already put at risk by simply posting because an IP is a lot easier to track than a picture.

Atresac, I'm at risk of being tracked down just by putting up my myspace. I meant to talk about the privacy of posting pictures, not about people tracking you down... My mistake ^^'

Anyways, I've learned that there is no such thing as privacy on the internet. People out there hack like crazy.

And then there's people that find out who posts these pictures. Though the major flaw in this is that they're not certain who that person can be EXACTLY. If I posted a picture of a stunning woman and said it was me, would a nearby predator try to track me? Maybe.

You'd have to registered on these forums to post pictures. Which is how these people can find you.

I'm just trying to show my opinions, not start some weird debate about pedophiles.
