Re: The official Cloud Temples and Mystic Marsh Wizards fan club

Denada! XD (proudly waves flag) I should also mention that I like the cutscenes before and after each of the wizards' respective levels. The Cloud Temple Wizards are so clever, turning the Warlocks into female sheep. ^^ The Water Wizards are just silly and cute, falling asleep on the job and pounding each other over the heads because of it.

Wow, I should probably get to sleep-I just saw a sheep bounce by on my monitor. O.o

Re: The official Cloud Temples and Mystic Marsh Wizards fan club

Yes, you're right. ^^

AND HEY, YER RIGHT. You know, I wonder how the wizards are seen in Avalar? They control magic, after all, which seems to be a fairly respectable field to go into, if the Professor is anything to go by. (considering most of the science he deals with involves portal technology, which I think involves magic.) The Cloud Temple Wizard who first talks to Spyro (I think his name was Bartleby, but I'm not sure. Darnit, I just replayed Ripto's Rage, too! >.<) said he used to be one of Avalar's most respected magicians, but by whose standards is he speaking?

Re: The official Cloud Temples and Mystic Marsh Wizards fan club

Well, the wizards seem to make sure everything remains in order in their homeworlds. Like in the opening for mystic marsh. The animals are calmed by what I would assume to be some kind of magic fountain, but as soon is it turns off the animals go completely berserk. (if that makes sense at all. I'm bad at arranging my thoughts into sentences O__O)

(sorry for the double post) I see the water wizards as scholars also. That's why I designed his robe the way I did in my fanart.

Re: The official Cloud Temples and Mystic Marsh Wizards fan club

Scholars and order-keepers for their homeworlds both seem pretty likely. (and no, you aren't bad at putting your thoughts into sentences! (hug)) Perhaps they're also order-keepers of Avalar's magic in general? I can't know much about magic (other than that it's a great cover for plotholes. Question: How come Spyro can fly in speedways and flights but not in other places? Answer: With magic, of course! XD), but it does strike me as something that can go horribly wrong if someone doesn't know what they're doing with it. Perhaps there needs to be a certain balance of it in certain places, which would affect the balance in other places in a sort of domino effect. Which could be where the wizards come in!  big_smile

Well, yeah, I know.  smile But I like to come up with reasons behind game settings other than gameplay-related ones. You know-for fanfic fodder and such.  big_smile
