Who is the better love interest for Spyro?

Elora: The spunky, yet sweet Faun or...

Cynder: The dark new dragon on the block?

Personally, as long as LoS takes place in the past/an alternate universe I'll support both... But if it came down to it, with only one being able to survive, Elora gets my vote. And remember: Elora actually kissed him

How come Ember's not in this? Heh. Actually, I don't really like Ember but for some reason I think she's a better match for Spyro than Cynder is. At least she's a bit amusing and cute, I don't see much personality in Cynder other than some moping, and I don't really understand how she can be so socially experienced after being enslaved all her life. I do like her design though, I just wish they would have done more with everything else. However, when it comes down to it, I don't even like Cynder with the new TLoS Spyro, just because that Spyro seems to be just as uninteresting. (IE. Marty Stu)

So yes, I like Elora the best, especially since she was Spyro's original lady-love. I wish the series could have gone on so we could see more character development, but I loved how snarky and self-directed she was, and the whole different species thing that was done was bold on Insomniac's part and made the relationship more interesting. If there was any confusion with the breeding, I never even thought the dragons from the old games could breed, (Didn't the manual say the fairies brought the eggs?) so I never had an issue with it.

Well, depends which Spyro. For the old, I'd go for Elora over Ember any day.
Overall, I actually like Cynder a bit more than Elora, so I voted for her.

But Elora is of a totally different race. It's like, who would be a better love interest for Michael Jackson: A little boy, Or his Monkey. You could argue either way, but realistically only one would work out (and he'd end up guilty this time hopefully). Ember would be the best, but i think cynder should kill her out of jealousy afterward. That would make a nice cutscene.

It is official that Insomniac Spyro and LoS Spyro exist in different universes. LoS is a total franchise reboot, so in the new universe, there's really only the one option, that being Cynder. I think LoS Spyro and Cynder are good for each other.

But, when it comes to who's best for Spyro, Insomniac Spyro really needs Elora. He's a hot head who doesn't think things through all the way. Elora is good at balancing him out with her logical and sensible nature. She's also pretty good at getting him out of trouble.

I support both pairings since they're in different universes. Elora/Spyro is slightly greater for me than Spyro/Cynder because it's so cute and so bizarre. XD

As for Ember...she stopped stalking Spyro for Bandit. I think that solves that issue right there.

Both pairings appeal to me. They occur in different universes, which means I get to support both.

If I had to pick one, though, I'd pick SpyroxElora. SpyroxCynder is sweet (he'd do so much for her, and I suspect she'd do the same for him), but their romance felt sort of forced at times. Besides, Cynder's the only female dragon in LoS- I think it was sort of obvious what her relationship with Spyro was going to be.

On the other hand, I didn't really see SpyroxElora coming- their interactions didn't strike me as forced at all. Their personalities work well together, and besides that, inter-species relationships have always fascinated me. And...I dunno, I guess I'm biased- SpyroxElora has been with me for over ten years now, while SpyroxCynder hasn't even been with me for a year.

Razz, your description of the pair reminded me of the SonicxSally pairing...which is a very bad thing.

However, I must confess that I slightly prefer SpyroxElora. Why? Well, the description does remind me of...them, it's actually quite different; Elora isnt nearly as condensing, even in times of crisis (As in [Spyro: I need to go and save the world. I may not be back. Elora: Okay. Be careful when fighting Ripto] as opposed to [Sonic: I need to go and save the world. I may not be back. Sally: SELFISH PIG!!! *slap*]), and it works on a mutual desire basis (both Spyro and Elora wanted to just restore peace and settle down, whereas Sonic wants constant adventure and always wants to be on the front line, and Sally wants to stay put, rule the Kingdom and have Sonic stay as her king. It's akin to these fanfics where Ripto wants to abduct Elora and make her his queen. O:) )

That's it for now. I'm just exhausted.

I tend to think of Sally and Sonic as they appeared in the SatAM and ignore the comics (which ruined everything). Even so, they always struck me as unbalanced. Sonic is such a spazz. o.O

Elora and Spyro are a good balance. Neither one of them is too extreme. Elora is a calm, leading personality who knows when to step back. Spyro is a bouncy and sometimes in need of a firm hand to reign him in, but he's also capable and knows how to handle most situations. Pair them up and you've got a pretty great couple that balances each other out nicely. Spyro would never let Elora get too serious and Elora would never let Spyro get too full of himself. big_smile

I have never seen a fic where Ripto kidnaps Elora with the intent of marrying her. o.O That seems rather contradictory to his personality. I've got a comic in the works where he kidnapped Elora as a hostage and eventually made her his adviser (she worked hard to get that position and did it for the good of Avalar), but there's no attraction between the two.

SpyroXCynder, because thy have been through so much more together. I mean, Elora tended to stand around and talk. Yes she kissed him, but in a thank you, or you're my hero way. She never said "I love you", so Cynder for me.

I find it odd that people have no problem if a rabbit and a cheetah hook up, and yet think it's so wrong for a dragon and a faun to have a relationship.

Cynder is great for spyro because

1.there the same species
2.they do have a relashionship (Finsh Dawn of the dragon)
3.its just not plain right seeing elora and spyro together

1. Same species (Also, Cynder is, like, the only other female dragon, in TLOS, of course!)
2. They've been through a lot together

And how do you feel about Hunter/Bianca? I don't understand why people think it's so terrible for a dragon and faun to be together, and yet they don't care if a rabbit and a cheetah hook up.

Why is it so impossible for people to grok the alternate universe thing? It's canon! You can support both Elora/Spyro AND Spyro/Cynder. The Insomniac Spyro is not the same as LoS Spyro, nor are their worlds.

I find Elora/Spyro a lot more interesting and less predictable (saw Spyro/Cynder coming from the end of ANB onwards) and their relationship is more fun (Insomniac Spyro needs Elora to balance him, whereas LoS Spyro and Cynder are pretty equal and general stereotypical love interests).

And, yeah. What is it with people being so against Spyro/Elora because of the species difference? It's like a form of fictional racism and kind of unsettling. And, as has been mentioned, these same people have no problem with Hunter/Bianca. Hmmm...

I like Elora a lot as a character, but NOT with a dragon. I think thats just weird. Plus, I lovee SpyroxCynder.
