maybe it's when the female dragons snuggle up to thier mates too much they turn the color of the their mates.

You see cynder was snuggled up to spyro too much and in return she turned purplish

Yeah you keep telling yourself that buddy lol....I highly doubt that they would have gone for that at their age big_smile ...but you never know lol.....anyways she does appear purple in many of the screenshots...at least a very dark shade of it...and all of the concepts listed above are quite possible...but I really think that it was just a develepment error like the rest...she should stay black as she was intended to be so.

That and she looks best that way.....at least to me.

Well as far as I can see....I just think she was always meant to be Black...the developers just screwed up again and made her model a slight shade of purple...they made up some screwy reason for it that I can't really remember...so that's what I go with.

Well, I never accually noticed it before, but she does go from pitch-black in "A New Beggining" to kinda really dark purple in "Dawn of the Dragon." The reason in my opinion is that it was just an unfortunate accident in Sierra's development of the game. But then again, there could be still the theory that they are doing so because there is a certain purpose behind it....it may be mentioned in the 4th Legend of Spyro game they come out with...hmmmm...

Well that's what I have been running with...Sierra did give some screwy reason for it...that it was just the way her model turned out and the reflecting nature of the models caused her to appear a little purple...but who knows what they are really thinking.

We will find out in the next game...

Who knows..that was the screwy reason they gave so nothing really else to run with besides assumptions...either way I will always see her as black.

perhaps as he gets older she will turn a darker colour? or perhaps spyros scales r reflecting the purple onto her? i dunno

Well I highly dounbt that it was just Spyro's reflection lol.....it was just some screwy developer error...she is meant to be black...and that's what she is going to be...at least to me lol....but perhaps they have something up their sleeve that we don't know about.

She wasn't created by Malefor...she was poisoned by his influence...and her egg was black at birth..so I still hold firm to the belief that she is a black dragon. I just think the developers managed to screw over the design. She is meant to be black...and she looks better that way.
