Re: So three years?
Well Bmah is pretty right on about that. You see...when Spyro came out over 10 years ago...it was considered revolutionary thanks to its graphics and gaming design...it was very popular and something rather different then what people were seeing. That's one of the many reasons why the game was as successful as it was.
But now...it's a different market...it's much harder to create something original....almost impossible actually. New ideas are rather out there...and recreating something is very very hard to pull off to any effectiveness. The game was built for success during that time.....trying to pull off the same thing again, however, would be like putting a gun to their own heads. It's just not gonna work out.

Re: So three years?
well they can at least try to anyway i reckon if they kept wiv teh same formula that the old spyro games had then it would appeal to more people as it would still b a classic game bt wiv updated systems kinda like mario is now sort of

Re: So three years?
That is certainly a possibility for the future...but I'm sure that many other developers have seen why Insomniac let go of it...and then saw the failures after that in the attempt to keep working with it....I'm sure that Sierra is gonna want to stay out of that possibility as long as they own the rights.
If someone does try to pull it off...I don't know....I think it would be more dangerous to do and I'm not sure they would be willing to make that risk.

Re: So three years?
If only it were that easy lol...I much rather they torture us until the release date then this waiting to find out if another game is even going to be made...it kills me....freeze me in time like they were for three years and wake me up lol....maybe something cool will be out by then...

Re: So three years?
I don't see what that has to do with the topic lol.....but I had mixed feelings about Krome.....I did want to see a change in design and such....but they did have pretty good mechanics.

Re: So three years?
I didn't try it...anyways let's get this back to the topic that they either didn't age three years in the crystal or the did...wow things got far off here.

Just were not aging at all simply.....just the art change and everything that Sierra made up in them being older screwed everyone up.

Maybe they didn't age because they never aged in Aliens franchise

Re: So three years?
It reminds me of my physics class where most of the classmates are not paying much attention to vital details and I seem to be the smartest one in the class. I sometimes verify an answer to a problem that seems incorrect by going into depth and seeing that everything is functioning with each other correctly. For Sierra, it's understandable due to the amount of time they had for developing it. It takes awhile to check everything over...or at least most of it. I don't expect perfection.
Oh, and happy birthday Spyro Master! ![]()
