What now?

Now that the legend of spyro reboot series is completed, what happens now?
A return to the original series? A really big gap before a new game or no more at all?

I would love a return to the format of the original series (Hub world - Portal levels) but with the seriousness and utter epic-ness of storyline of the legend of spyro series. All still part of the original series.

What do you think?

Well, there is definitely going to be more games, they promised us that. And also, they said that the TLOS series was to serve as a reboot to the franchise, and they said that it was mainly supposed to provide a new world to explore.

They didn't say more than that, but with the

I think they got the new world.

Also there are rumours that the series will follow Spyro's lineage. Although to be honest I don't like that idea.

The Developers havn't said anything about what's next for Spyro.
But most evidence shows they will continue with TLOS

Sorry to be a know it all but lineage means ancestors and descendants - like great grandparents and great grandchildren - so it appears we may get a family history of 'the legend of spyro' spyro. Great...

Liniage Has a few meanings, but yes, You're context was the correct one. :-|

The ending of DotD points to the trilogy becoming a umm...4logy.
Also with the movie coming out, there's plenty of time to make the next game tons better.

Oh...another topic that pertains to whatever happens in the future of the games lol...well for right now I think that they are gonna kick back...get some lovely drinks with umbrellas and not give a "beep" about anything lol...but that's just me.

Nah lol..they will prolly continue with the series seeing as how that's what they wanted to do should DotD garner some success. We will see after the movie comes out.

Well I don't see them in a rush to announce anything else besides the movie....seeing as how it's gonna be out less then a year from now...I can only assume that they are gonna wait until after it comes out to announce anything new.

But yeah I feel your pain....I hate not knowing what's going on or what is going to be coming next....much rather be waiting for another game.

I don't really know what they are doing with it...I don't like the whole 3-D crap...just make the freaking movie and leave it at that...all I'm in it for is the story...

Yeah...I just think it's not really needed...the whole 3-D thing is cool for home release and such...but I'm not big on using it in the theaters. Just make the movie and be done with it...

I hope it's not tLoS. tLoS was just too much fighting and too serious. The originals were more fun and made me smile! Portals, worlds, everything! tLoS is same type of enemy too, it's same stuff over and over again, fight, fight, fight.

The old ones involved mind and skills etc. Were more 'unique'.

LoS is a completely different formula that will not cater...nor is it suppose to cater to every single fan of the series. I don't think it was the smart thing to do....but it wasn't a horribly bad decision. They attempted to establish themselves in a different style and that's what they got....and it could have been much worse.

But yes...the originals are meant to be a more fun and overall pleasing style of game...more like a cartoon then the more cinimatic style that is used in LoS...just two vastly different approahces. They knew that it wouldn't be supported by a lot of fans...it's just what they decided to do for their own reasons.
