Re: So three years?

My theory
When they got frozen there was an air bubble the exact size of how big they are in DotD.

Re: So three years?

Well that is def an interesting theory....there just is no real evidence to show that they have grown....because as far as I can see they were froze in time and the only thing that changed was their design...so I'll just go with that.

Re: So three years?

Well they just went with the whole they are three years older theory...but that makes no sense at all...and their is more evidence to support the fact that they didn't grow at all. Just Sierra making up a quick excuse to another plot hole they managed to create.

Re: So three years?

Yeah lol...I have noticed that as well big_smile....oh well. At least it's still on topic lol....so just say whatever you want to say. They screwed up some things and others were done pretty well. I really hope that they improve upon things in the future.

Re: So three years?

Well the movie will be used as a pretty good jumping point....or the ending point...it's really going to determine just where they go with future games....hopefully it's not a total failure....and it will be interesting to see how they settle this...three years of supposed growth in the film(s).

Re: So three years?

Well I'm not saying that the movie will determine the outcome of games to come...but it would make sense I suppose. After all what better way to see just how many people are interested in supporting future Spyro installments then the total sales and interest in a movie....at least in my mind. It better be good...

Re: So three years?

Yeah guys as i said in another topic the game might die if we do nothing. however Red Dragon I agree with you.

I'm glad they fixed a HUGE pothole in that the player couldn't fly when they fell or w/e or wanted to get else where.

edit: I also think that old fans of Spyro may be reintroduced if they hear about the movie. (from what I haer it goes straight to DVD. anybody else see a problem with that?

Re: So three years?

Well I don't know exactly where the movie is coming out....but I am much more comfortable with it as a straight to DVD feature. At least then I could go out and buy it right away...and hoestly I think throwing it into theaters is a very very bad idea....but that's just me....either way you look at it, it will have an impact on what will happen in the future.

Re: So three years?

The more they stray away from the story the worse it will be....building upon the story already written is what I'm looking for...even more in depth focus on the characters and such...will do wonders for my writings.

Re: So three years?

ha ha selfish im jking bt seriously it would b good to c them bt depth into the original series sort of re-done bt i doubt it 1. cause of gaming auideience and 2. they werent that good wiv teh plot holes from TLOS were they?

Re: So three years?

Well they could make a movie about the originals...but Sierra is the large driver behind this...and they have the say. They just spent the last three years creating this whole new fanbase that was driven by LoS....you really think they will support the idea of a movie being made based off the old games lol...nah I don't think that would do wonders for them...

I just hope to heck they don't butcher the thing...even though I already feel it coming @.@...

Re: So three years?

I want it to work as well..but I remain skeptical so long as they have the people onboard that they do now...none of them have anything to be really proud of in past works.

Re: So three years?

Well it's a pretty solid theory....it's the only one that makes sense as well. Sierra just saying they grew was used to help jump start the game's image....stupid...

Re: So three years?

Probably because it's more difficult to use originality now than it was in the past. With hundreds of games being released, it's getting harder and harder to find something new and innovative. In addition, the risk of being innovative and unique is much higher today than it was before, because the amount of money put into the making of a game is much, much higher as a result of larger teams and such. Thus, companies would likely prefer making sequels or a new take to a game rather than being adventurous on trying new ideas.
