What kind of computer do you use?

Currently I'm stuck with an old Compaq computer I got in mid-2004. It runs like absolute garbage, but it's still running, which is more than I can say for other computers I have used.

512 MB of RAM and a 120 GB hard drive, 2 GHz processor.

I hate when I try to plug anything in it starts to grind and whir.

If all goes as planned, I should have this baby by the end of the year:

Do you mean personal computer? I have an IBM laptop, not sure what kind...
But my family computer is an iMac, which we all love to death. x3

Macs are for total and utter complete failures and wastes of carbon etc.

No offense, however.

Anyway, just got a new laptop. Not the studio 15, but a Dell Inspiron with 3 gigs of ram, 250 gig hdd, 15.4 inch, etc. for $550. Hells yeah.

hmm Don't bash Macs so harshly. Most people buy them with the intent of just using the internet or making files. Iv had mine for a good 4 years, and the only thing I ever complained about was running games. Otherwise, they are just as good as PCs, or even Linux.

People use them for that when you can do all of that and more on a PC that costs half as much.

Mac laptops go for $2000+, and they're not even some super amazing laptop. It's just because they like to take money from people willing to spend it on a shiny OS.

I use an IMAC which is my parents a PC in my room and ive gt a gateway laptop which ive just gt 4 christmas

I use Windows XP, no specific computer make though.

EDIT: Details

CPU: 2.5 ghz
RAM: 2gb
Video: Nvidia FX 5500
1 HDD with 60gb, 40gb left
1 HDD with about 40gb, 6gb left (I use as storage incase of system rebuilding)

I use an old WinXp Compaq Presario but it runs like a charm and plays games etc just fine smile
106gb HDD with about 8gb or around that clear (I Know...I need to clean it out)
2.4gb of RAM.
My mom just has an Awesome Compaq WinVista(Ew, Vista. NOT awesome!) LapTop lol tongue
Something like 150gb HDD and 2gb RAM I think.

I use personaly a HP laptop with Windows Vista.(I DOES NOT SUCK!!! IT IS THE BEST SOFTWARE OYT THERE!!! IT IS THE BEST ONE I HAVE EVER USED!!!!!!!)

The desktop computer I'm on now is a (now old) hp pavilion f50 with probably 100-150 GB of memory. My father has a 17" laptop by Dell with about the same amount of memory I think (and it's also getting sucky by today's standards). I'm going to get a 14.1" Toshiba laptop very soon, with about 320GB storage and a speed of 2.26GHz (whereas the desktop computer is under 2).
