Graphics or Gameplay?
Which is the more important aspect, do you think?
I think Gameplay is way more important. The new games of Spyro, for example, don't have as many puzzles or difficult challenges, and just aren't as fun to play over and over, but they have alot more detailed graphics. The old games were uber-fun, but now the graphics are looked at as suckish. (Which they weren't back then, fyi ;p)

Re: Graphics or Gameplay?
OMG, i put graphics, i thought i put gameplay, owell!
But yeah, if you think about it, in some way graphics is really important, the first thing you'll have too do is make sure that the colours and contrast arn't too bright, then the game would be unplayabble no matter how good it is. But i know what you're REALLY talking about so i'd have to go with gameplay.

Re: Graphics or Gameplay?
Graphics are important as well as gameplay but i think gameplay is more important. You need to have good graphics gameplay is the most important thing. Older games had bad graphics by todays standards but theya re still pretty fun.

Re: Graphics or Gameplay?
If a game didn't have good game play the game would be boring.Think of a NES game. Some of the games have good game play but they are all 16 bit and games that have shading off aren't common.

Re: Graphics or Gameplay?
Id say both, but sence only 1...Gameplay.... Because the game itself on how it works is more important then the grapHics....

Re: Graphics or Gameplay?
I would probably second what Dragon Protector x said. Gameplay is the major component of the game (otherwise you probably wouldn't want to play it) but graphics are a nice add-on that makes the gam look realistic.

Re: Graphics or Gameplay?
I would say gameplay. Without gameplay, you wouldn't be able to play. But of course without fitting graphics, you wouldn't enjoy the playing.

Re: Graphics or Gameplay?
Gameplay of course! i mean, a game with "OMFG THIS GAME HAS THE BEST GRAFICS AND LOOKS LIKE REAL LIFE" kind of game wouldn't be fun if your just counting sheep or something like that...
It's the end of the world as we know it...
But I feel fine!

Re: Graphics or Gameplay?
I could mention many games that people say "MAN!! this games awesome" but they have nothing more than nice lookin'
so how about the old games from snes, for exemple? like the Final Fantasy ones? Or the psone spyro games? (theyre considered by most people as the best ones, arent they? ^^)
