Have anyone thought of Robotica Farm and Bugbot Factory having something to do with each other? I think the robot bugs in Robotica Farm came from the Bugbot Factory :-P

According the the level's official overview, the Sorceress set up the factory in order to create a mini-legion and power something  (I can't remember what). It is possible that the Sorceress created the robotic bugs seen on Robotica Farm...but that's very unlikely; no evidence is given that she knew the realms of Avalar (even the dragons didn't know about it until they intercepted Spyro), and the bugs would have had to be able to jump through unknown portals in order to get there, as well. The Robotica Farm pests also existed before she set up the Bugbot Factory we see.


I'm more interested in the various acts of magic that the dragons seen to take for granted (i.e. Powerup Pillars, Supercharge Pathways e.t.c) I mean, when the portals went out, everyone was making a fuss, but they didn't even note that the powerups and pathways were still active. Is it a seperate magic source, is it an infinite power controlling those things? What?

Dragons could survive for 30, 000 years (and when i talk about 30, 000 years i'm talking about human years)! They are MUCH more powerful than humans and live much longer! I actually think that 30, 000 years is equivilent to a LONGER time than ours (bout 1:5 meaning 1 dragon year is equal to 5 human years). So really, it's only 6000 dragon years. Remember in YOTD, when everyone was talking about the 1000 years that the dragons have been exiled from the sourcerous. They were talking about 1000 years being like ancient. I think that 1000 years was equivilent to our 5000 human years.

In my opinion, The Magic was only starting to really fade and had been a bit wobbly for maybe about 100 years. When the portals were going out I think simply it was just temporary. It would be too much of a co-incidence if the portals were going out JUST as Spyro was arriving. The Powerup pillers and supertracks however don't need as much magic and could survive for much longer.

Oh, stupid me... I should have thought about that >_<  I believe what made me make that teory was that the bugbot "icons" in Bugbot Factory was very similar to the bugs faces in Robotica Farm.

easy mistake to m8 bt the bugs r from that robot city place casue they gt invaded by farm animals so teh bugs came from the city and attacked robotica farms wel its wot i think happened anyway sort of liekw iv zephr and that harbour bird place

I was wondering...in Spyro 2 and 3 you could do the supercharge anywhere on flight/speedway courses but not in Spyro 1. Either these 'hidden tracks' were removed from the Dragon Kingdom's (that name sounds too basic to me) courses for fair competition  or just didn't have the time to put in yet.

Speaking of flight courses, what are they for? I know about the flight training purposes but...I guess it's a sport they do. I wonder if they (devs) ever would put a long supercharge course that splits up into multiple paths. A crazy and cleaver idea I have would be to put two parallel tracks doing a vertical drop while at the same time facing each other so you could try changing tracks and tag your opponents.

yeh it would b good supercharge racing game instead of a spyro version of mario kart b quite funny the only time u were able to race on spyro is flying racing in spyro 3 or running down the egg thiefs using the supercharge

Yeah....lots of ideas that they could have used if Insomniac continued to develop the series...but they had to let it go...ended sooner then it should have I'm afraid.

So many ideas that they could have used...too bad Insomniac didn't feel anything in the series anymore. They just didn't see the forumla holding people's interest...and let go before things really hit the fan...but yeah there were many different ideas that remain unused..

Well, they moved on to put all their time into Ratchet & Clank, and it turned out to be the bigger success. I guess four-leggers weren't their thing, they were probably more interested in guns since the beginning, but I would have liked them to keep the Spyro series in the vault for a rainy day. (I don't think Universal quite agreed with that, though, but it will always be a mystery.)

As for the supercharge and speedways, I always figured since the supercharge tracks were introduced in Magic Crafters, it was some sort of "magic area forcefield" thing happening. Probably invented by said dragons from Magic Crafters and then placed in certain other worlds to benefit dragons. I always kind of thought flight areas and speedways had the magic area thing happening too which is why they can supercharge, and maybe in another case, why Spyro's wings appear to have gotten bigger. (the same magic could have been recycled for those little arch things, where if Spyro goes through them his wing span increases to fly more efficently or he can supercharge)

In my opinion, The Speedways have some kind of magic which makes dragons fly faster or in spyro's case, Fly. But the dragon's did not want to use this magic everywhere as it would waist too much and is unneeded as dragons can already fly and baby dragons need to LEARN to fly in case they need to exit the magic area!

Now that is settled, what about the portals? ("The cake is a lie!" isn't part of the question :-P) Who originally made them? Don't jump to conclusions of "The Professor did it" because we don't know for sure.  From what I know there are two types. One is for long distance travel (normal, super portal) and the other one (challenge portal) is more limited. This makes me wonder if portals use a "tunnel" linked system from one place to another Most of them seen in Spyro 1-3 uses only one portal on one side but not the other so it's proven that they can make one way jumps. I also wonder if you can't fly then your body is broken up into atoms and put together upon entry. Do you have to fly through a portal or is it just a habit? I have questions going left and right and...brr...my hands are even warm so I'll just stop here and wait for a response. (While playing something to pass the time of course big_smile)

No, The Professor defiently didn't do it, But obviously He Knows the Technology to Do it! In My opinion, The Magic of portals is too advanced for us to even consider (Humans havn't even mastered teleportation yet) but the dragons mastered it some time ago (Somethime between the TLOS times and the Forgotton World times).
When you enter a portal, and enter the airspace of the level,  A Magic keeps you up in the air until you get to some kind of Magic elevator or whirlwhind thing that pulls you down to the Level. It's hard to explain. But no, You don't need to fly, It's just so dragons can cut through the air and get the the elevator without "swimming" through the air. This is just a theory....

As for the gravity in the dragon worlds, I suppose it's a bit less than ours. Note how things jump higher and land slower and dont get hurt while landing.

it all makes sense really wot u just said ratchet and the low gravity u were talking about is like that weird drawing wiv the dragon worlds including avalar and riptos world in a apple core shape  which would explain the low gravity

Depends on just how deep you want to think into it I suppose...personally I have never really given the portals a second thought...but I would have to go with what Ratchet said...as for the gravity thing...it did appear that things could jump higher and such...and you could send very large enemies flying a good distance at times before they hit the ground lol...and little ones you could knock out of the park...so the gravity does appear to be very limited..

Yeah, But it's surprising the Dragons don't moon walk. Maybe they've got used to the Gravity.
