Re: Greetings
GBA = Gameboy Advance.
SOI = Season of Ice, the first Spyro game on GBA.
SOF = Season of Flame, the second Spyro game on GBA.
AotR = Attack of the Rhynocs, the third one. ![]()
...and yes, this thread appears to have lost its steam. ![]()
News of note, actually: Foundation 9, the umbrella company that owned Digital Eclipse, the studio that made the first three Spyro games, shut down the whole studio a couple of months ago (putting me out of a job, along with everyone else who worked there, of course). Not profitable enough, I suppose. ![]()

Re: Greetings
Yup, I still look in from time to time. ![]()
It wasn't Foundation 9 that closed down; Foundation 9 is the umbrella corporation that owns many studios including Amaze, Shiny, and Pipeworks.
They also owned Digital Eclipse (which eventually became Backbone Vancouver). It was Digital Eclipse (Backbone Vancouver) that got shut down.

Re: Greetings
I have a question that I have been wondering about for a while. Are the characters and creatures in the games sprites of 3d models? Or are they drawn?

They start as 3D models and animations, which are rendered to 2D and touched up. They are then put in the game and displayed as sprites. If they weren't touched up by 2D artists, they wouldn't look very good. ![]()
