I'm actually not surprised that something like this would happen. People would sue anyone (or anything) for anyone (or anything). For example, a lot of people tried to sue industrial factory managers in defence for the trees, even though you can't legally sue for plants.

i saw the movie about a guy who sued god, i thought it was rather funny, this example is obviously a joke but the movie made a good point

some insurance companies wont pay out for "acts of god" so when the main character (billy connoly) has his boat struck by lightning, first he takes the insurance company to court, and when they state their policy, he brings the churches into the equation

it was funny because the churches couldnt deny it as an "act of god" without also denying that god exists

but back to this example, whilst it is ridiculous to sue god for threats of death/disasters (since most churches would agree god doesnt cause these things) i can see something you could technically get him for (if you had an address)

whilst not a crime as such god (supposedly all powerful) allows horrible things to happen (all of which he supposedly can see) and many people are of the belief that to see a crime and do nothing is condoning the crime and therefore as bad as committing the crime yourself

now im not saying god (if he exists) should do anything to stop crimes and stuff, and im not saying hed lose such a court case, but it wouldnt surprise me considering people can win court cases against the person whose home they were breaking into
