i prefer the new Sparx. the new Sparx is funny. 
the old Sparx was cool, but all he did was change color when you got hit. for the most part.

True but the old Sparx actually had a real purpose in the games lol...as opposed to the new Sparx who's only job was to attempt to entertain us during gameplay and cutscenes.....but whatever.....I think I still prefer the new one.

You can't force me to prefer Old Sparx. We all have our own opinions. I like both equally. 
New Sparx for the humor (the hot thing was just a joke) and the Old Sparx for the playable-ness.

It's pretty simple..anyone who is a fan of the old games is almost always gonna choose old Sparx...while the LOS fans will most likely pick the new one...either way we're all gonna disagree lol....but I'm still undecided. Both have their pros and cons.

I'm not leaning one way or the other. New Sparx is kinda comedy relieve, and the old Sparx was your health meter/picked up gems/was playable. I hate the new Sparx in the DS versoin of EN though.... said I needed to find 5 mirrors... and open the box to find I only needed the three that were even in it...

I don't even play the handheld versions anymore....but I saw uses for both Sparx characters....like you said...one was the health meter...involving him in the game itself...while the other was just comic relief....which I still liked. Anyways...I can't really choose lol.

u forgot that he had his own missions to do like little side quests
And yes he was spyro's health mr. i eat butterfly's
the new sparx is just plain annoying first he's against wat spyro is doin
but then he changes his mind and goes along with and then changes bac
HE'S A GUTLESS BUTTERFLY EATEN FLIPFLOPPER!!!!!

i dont have one game that includes spyro on the handheld versions

Well one Sparx was just more involved with the gameplay while the other is involved with story...which I liked both versions to a degree.....but they could have done much better with the new one if they had still involved him in the gameplay some way.

Well I didn't like playing Sparx in AHT...I think his role should be left to support....not playable...idk I just like him better that way.
Giving him some kind of role really does sit better I think...idk that's just me lol..

Now that u mention that those freaking missions were really hard but i managed
2 beat the game 100% and play as Ember and Flame
but they still sound like spyro
