Ignitus: *smiles* Remember, no one is beyond redemption. Cynder was redeemed, perhaps you could too, and possibly your brother. *puts the book away and brings Malefor's out* Malefor's past is indeed one filled with misery and sadness. He says that he was exiled for trying to have the Destroyer destroy the world, but he was actually exiled before that. *opens the book* It says here, in this book, that your brother sacrificed everything for his masters, a social life, and a chance at love. The masters wanted to teach him the elements. Malefor was forced to believe that if he didn't accept their offer, that he'd be disappointing them. And so... it all became too much. He eventually found someone he fell in love with, and he didn't take his training as seriously. But, well... she loved him back, but she was in an arranged relationship, with a rather abusive dragon. She went to him one day, crying, and she was bleeding profusely. She told him it was her fiance, and the fiance came. Malefor tried to intervene, and asked him to treat her with respect. It didn't end well, after that.

Ignitus: *nods* The abusive dragon attacked Malefor and the girl he loved out of anger and... Malefor, defending himself, hurt him badly. The masters thought that he was going to become too powerful, because he had learned so much, and exiled him. Malefor felt betrayed by the masters, after all he had given up, after he had done everything they asked so dutifully... they turned him away. The girl he loved was then killed by the abusive dragon, and when Malefor found out, he felt that it was the masters' fault for her death, for not punishing the dragon, despite the overwhelming evidence against the dragon. That's when he tried to awaken the Destroyer. He felt the world was corrupt, and that it needed to be remade.

Blaze: *nods* I never knew him. I think my egg was separated from him. I know it wasn't at the temple though, it couldn't have been at the temple, or I wouldn't be here right now, after Gaul's forces smashed all the eggs.

After all the injustices that occurred not only in his time, but afterwards, he thinks that starting over the world from scratch would be for the best. *sighs* It's sad, really. If he does return... there could still be hope for him to return to the way he once was.

Ashe: I was the younger brother, born about 6 years after Ignitus. He loved me from the start. *laughs a bit* I always called him my "super smartyfied bro", seeing that he was the wise one. I was a bit rebellious in my younger days.

Ignitus: You will be amazed at what can be done if you try. If you try to change, to prevent yourself from killing, then there is always the chance that you will succeed. The only failure is when you give up, but so long as there is even the slightest bit of hope, or belief, that you can succeed, there is a chance that you can. I should have heeded those words four years ago.
