lacking of MEMBERS!!!

i ALWAYS feel like im the only one on this website when i post! how many members are there again? i just think that this website is lacking members. even the spyro chat is dead!!! i think you should advertize and get more people on here, or you WILL lose another member.

im not tryin to be mean or anythin... but i like to post things people would respond to. i REALLY REALLY love spyro and i think he is the cutest thing in the world, and all of my friends dont even know about him. so i looked up spyro forums, and found this! i though "YAY! i can talk about spyro with people!!" ummm.. WHAT PEOPLE? how long was this website up? cause its dead now.

please please PLEASE dont think im bein mean. im just mad that nobody is on to talk about america's #1 little purple dragon of all time. please dont think im tryin to be harsh, AND PLEASE DONT BAN ME!!!

Out of curiosity, what sites are you comparing this one to in terms of activity?

We've been here since 2006.[/sub]

SpyroChat is very active, and I don't know what you're talking about. I've never seen you in it.

I do think the site is a little dead myself, but advertising the site is the wrong thing to do.

I can't say that I agree with you, SpyroFan2071. When I log in there are plenty of new posts. Sometimes nothing I want to respond to, but that's why you make more threads to get some good discussion going.

As for Spyrochat, you probably just log in at the wrong times. When I go there, there's usually at least 3 to 5 other people.

Why would anyone ban you? =P

I disagree with this, unless you're talking about openly advertising out on other forum boards.
There are better ways of advertising, such as requesting other websites to advertise it for you in their "links" section. Make a banner too if you do this. That being said, it's hard to find someone who would advertise this site, since Spyro is just not that popular anymore.

That's what I meant, just going to other forums and advertising...it's rude to the owners of the site, seeing that people are only going to their site to advertise their own sites.

I think there's no need to advertise. I like the fact that you can speak to people from different places and just have a nice chat with them, without other people barging in. Theres usually at least one other member online when I am.

Why do you need other people to be on the forums at the same time as you?

To answer your first question, there are about 1000 members who have made at least one post in these forums, and a smaller number who are regularly active. And some forums here (like for example, General Chat or Dawn of the Dragon) are naturally more active than others (for example, Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly).

SpyroChat varies in activity. The period of highest activity for SpyroChat and the forums appears to be roughly from 5:00pm to 2:00am GMT (UTC)... which is 1:00pm to 10:00pm New York Daylight Saving Time. Chat activity also varies from day to day, so try logging in on different days, like weekends and so on.

People do reply to your posts. This thread is just one of the examples. Don't be sad if people don't quote or reply to your posts. Perhaps they might agree with you, and therefore there's nothing more for them to add or say.

I disagree with you about the forums being dead, but if you think that is indeed the case, then you may find Spyroforum picking up in activity again with the release of Dawn of the Dragon. The other people who've posted in this thread have also made some good points. Just give Spyroforum a go and enjoy yourself smile and over time hopefully you'll see how active and diverse we as a community really are.
