Hmm, you know, you might be right.
If the DM is his father then that's the reason he becomes Dark Spyro.
What if Cynder had a "dark side"? I don't consider her big version Dark Cynder, it's really just an older more matured stage of her.
But anyways, that would mean that they're siblings!

If the Dark Spyro is the Dark Master's son, that means normal Spyro has to be as well, which in my opinion is pretty unlikely simply because it's so predictable.

Then again, from what we've heard of DotD so far, they're not exactly being very careful with their plot-writing, are they? =P

No, they haven't... But of course we can't really assume anything until the game comes out. ANYTHING could happen.

Gosh, i've already debunked this theory twice.
If Malefor concieved the egg, he obviously would've had a close relationship with who he concieved with. Meaning that he would know when it was born and as soon as it was born would've smashed it or raised it like cynder. He wouldn't give the purple egg of prophecy to the dragons!
Besides, Malefor's generations old and has been sealed away.

If this does happen, it will be a real stupid and unbelivable (in a bad way).
