[sub]I am currently undecided. I don't really like either of them, to tell you the truth.
I'm kind of leaning towards McCain, though.... Not that it would matter because I'm still underage. T___T[/sub]

Re: 2008 US presidential election
Don't really like either of them either, but I'd rather have Obama. McCain was at least a little tolerable until he got that vice president of his.
I'm mostly just going by his views, which I agree with more than I agree with McCain's.

Re: 2008 US presidential election
hmm..right now..I'm just seeing how all circumstances go..like the electoral votes..right now..Mccain COULD get into the lead..there's still enough electoral votes to get ahead..IF he can..but it seems where Obama is...it is going to be some miracle..about 120 up for grabs..I think.

Re: 2008 US presidential election
I'll never vote Democrat because I just don't agree with their views. So that leaves me with McCain.

Re: 2008 US presidential election
Isn't that being partisan?
Anyways, the Republicans have had eight years to wreck the country, so I'd go for Obama if I were allowed to vote.

Re: 2008 US presidential election
By the way, I'm curious, what part of the political spectrum do you guys lie in? I don't actually consider myself as part of a party, I'm independent, but I took the test and I'm apparently closer to being libertarian. I almost got green though, ARGH, thank God I didn't.

[sub]Independent, lean conservative.
According to this thing, though, I should be liberal. But I don't agree with most of their ideas. =/[/sub]

Re: 2008 US presidential election
It's all good to go green, but people don't like the necessary changes to create a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle. It's a tall order for people to ride bikes to work instead of driving, or buying an expensive fuel-friendly vehicle, for example. Another example is to impose taxes for environmental services, an extra cost people don't want to pay. At least that's what I think - environmentalists have a good reason to worry about the ecosystem, but their proposed solutions aren't exactly appealing to the masses. If they have the gov't raise taxes and prices on products to reflect environmentally-friendly production methods, income taxes should be reduced to soften the impact on higher prices.
P.S. Sarah Palin looks pretty unprepared, from what answers she provided in an interview I saw. Can't imagine her being in the White House.

Does that mean that if you become president, you'll make everyone happy?
I'm not a US citizen, but if I were I'd probably lean towards Obama, as I feel McCain has policies that are too similar to Bush's... or I'd vote for whoever would be best at stopping the US economy from going down the toilet, because it's sucking the rest of the world down with it.

You do know that Obama's main strategy is to link McCain to Bush as much as possible...
I really can't decide on who I would vote for. (If I could vote) I don't know that much about politics. I seem to like McCain better than Obama though. I think that Obama will probably win the election because people don't like what the last Republican President did.

Re: 2008 US presidential election
Well, it's true, I'd rather not have another Bush for another 4 or 8 years. For all anyone knows, Obama could be the worst president ever or he could be a great president, and I'd rather take my chances than letting my doubt get to me and have to play it safe.

I wouldn't necessarily call McCain another Bush just because he's republican. He has already disagreed with many of Bush's policies. And he chose a conservative as his VP rather than another republican.

Considering his choice, how this is any more of a wiser decision is beyond me.
