Let's give this a shot, I have never 'made' a RP, but only played. Let's see how this goes (how much I ruin this xD).

In an unstable world, beyond our own imagination, Elementals ruled the land. Controlling anything from the ground underneath them, to the lightning in the skies. The humans and creatures shared a spiritual bond, they were able to communicate with each other, and focus on a bright future. All of that changed when a dark portal opened in the sky, creating demons, killing all in sight. 100 years have passed since the dark portal first opened, and nowhere is safe. The Elementals have almost completely vanished and their bond with all creatures is faint. Now, a select few roam the lands, and it is up to them to stop this war and bring peace to the lands once more.

For characters use this (or something close to) as a template:

(The more elements you possess the weaker they will each be, and try not to have too much or all of them, this isn't the Avatar xD)

Not every creature/human 'must' have an element. Each element has it's goods and bads so keep that in mind. As for characters, I don't have any planned besides a select few, so make whoever you want.

History : Has a shadowy past with the darkness. But all signs of evil has left him. He doesn't seem to remember much from his past. He had, or still has, a brother, but he remembers nothing of him. Ever since the darkness took over him and left, his memory was wiped.

Race : (Dark Angel)

Element : Dark
Gender : Female
Appearance :
Personality : A dark, menacing angel. Rose is known as the demon princess.
Mate : n/a
History : Rose was born a demon (like most). She never had parents, being created from the darkness itself.

Race: Dragon
Element: Both Earth and Lightning
Gender: Female
Appearance: Light green with a faint yellow belly and inside of wings. There are brighter yellow lightning marks down her back. She has a thin hunter green crest and a small tail spike with the same color. Her horns are long and tan and she has white claws on her wing "fingers." Her eyes are green. She has fin-like things on the side of her head and a tan horn on her snout. An adult.
Personality: Can be hyper but really lazy at times. She is somewhat shy, but when she finds someone she likes, she talks up a storm. She also has a bit of a "anger management" problem. She may also, on ocassiom, burst into uncontrollable laughter.
Mate: None... Yet...
History: She is a rare, harnesser of two elements dragon, which makes her elemental energy very powerful. She is still currently unaware.

Personality: Zanna is a kind and loving person. She is deeply in love with dragons and the arctic. She is gothic.

History: Zanna grew up alongside her little sister, Grace. One day, they're parents had died in a terrible fire, and went to live with their grandmother. Their grandmother was a fortune teller and told each of them that they had something special hidden inside. It turned out they did. They were part angel, human, and dragolf.

Race: Dragon
Element: Air and sky, a true flight dragon
Gender: Female
Appearance: Sky blue scales. Creamy white underbelly. Ocean blue claws and horns. Has feathers down her back and a 'feather-fan' on the end of her tail, the feathers are also ocean blue. Is very skinny, especially her legs and her wings are uncannily large, they're so big that she can't fold them properly on the ground. Her tail is very long. Her eyes are a deep violet. She looks similar to that blue dragon from Dragon Cave that has no legs. Only she does have legs, she's like a missing link between the two.
Personality: Very airy and good-natured. But a bit wary, she didn't know other types of dragon existed. Most of her kind didn't.
Mate: None
History: Spent her entire life on the wing, high up in the atmosphere. Only falls to earth after getting caught in a storm. When she fell she broke her wing and that means she was just about helpless.

Bio: Not the social type. He has a short temper, and does not like interaction at all, other than insulting someone or fighting them. He is Cocky, Arrogant, and A bit sadistic a points. Twin Brother of Aura.

Bio: More social than her twin, but she has the same short temper. She had a large tendancy to say what she whats...when she wants. She also has a strange attraction to both Males and females....

(Crap, I forgot to put that they are both Fire/dark dragons...but Dark isn't selectable.)

ah w/e go for it, its just that dark/light/arcane come way later on, they are highly advanced elements. But you can have your fire now and dark later tongue

BTW, I might have had a bit of a typo...hehe, 'SOME' Elementals are unaware of their abilites....

The sun was shining it's bright glare over the southern Cydari Forest. Not often the air was as warm as it is now, and the only noise came from the birds. The sky was clear besides the shapeless white clouds. It was the first day of Spring. It was... peaceful. Haku slowly lifted his head as he awoke, feeling instantly refreshed. He gazed around the forest. He had never felt this 'safe' before. He felt so peaceful, that the war, all this chaos, didn't seem to exist. Haku shook himself back into reality as he heard a rustling in some nearby bushes.

Haku picked up the sent of rabbit, and at the same time his stomach growled at him. He leaped into the bushes and killed it in no moments notice. It was a pretty large rabbit, he doubted if he could finish it all off.

Haku finished up his rabbit (to the best that he could anyway) and walked over to the nearest creek. Haku felt like a stranger to these woods, having a bright white coat and black markings down his body, tail and face. He saw some humans and a dragon or two, he decided to ignore them, knowing that they were here on their own business. Haku rests next a light green dragon. Although she seems a bit preoccupied to really notice he was there, he tries to start conversation.

"So, is the water fresh?"

OOC : Off to bed, I'll check in occasionally. I'll be on from about 7:30am to 9:30am, cause my first period class is a computer class tongue . I'll be back at home around 4:00 or so, continuous schedule for all the weekdays of course.
