*Marlstorm jumped over a log and smelled the scent of a strange cat. Her ears flattened and her tail puffed up.*

Random other patroller: What is it, Marlstorm?

Marlstorm: Carry on, I can deal with this myself......

*The patrol carried on without her*

*Marlstorm walked up to the log. Suddenly, she jumped and pinned down the little black cat and growled deep in her throat*

Marlstorm: This is ThunderClan territory...... I hope you have good reason for invading our land and stealing our kill!

OOC: Its Moonshadow by the way. I thought I'd jump right in and include you seeing as the others' characters are preocupied. big_smile

Firestone flicked his tail, signaling Silverstar to stay back. Swiftpaw ran up beside Silverstar and whispered, "It's a good idea to stay away from big brother when he's talking to a spirit, especially the Disturbia."

The Disturbia looked at Silverstar. "Don't make another move, kitty!" Looks back at Firestone. "Cyrus has told me to tell you... Well, basically, he has a gift for you!" Before Firestone could react, the bear swung its powerful paw at him, making the deputy fly backwards. The bear was just about to do his killing blow, but suddenly Swiftpaw got in the way, taking the blow to his throat. He stumbled a bit on the ground, then collapsed, dead. Firestone looked at the Distrubia in horror. "Now, say your prayers, hybrid!"

*Marlstorm paused to look at the filthy creature she had pinned down. She was tiny, just a kit really. She was malnourished, which explained her smallness, she was nothing but skin and bone. Even if the kit tried she wouldn't be able to shift Marlstorm herself. She considered her options; she could just kill the kit. Put it out of its misery, the way she was going she couldn't live much longer anyway..... Then again, it was early springtime. Prey was far from scarce, and there wasn't going to be many kits this spring, only two queens were expecting. And deep down she did feel sorry for her..... Silently she cursed herself, it was probably against Warrior Code, then again, this Kit was not from a known enemy clan and there was no rule against boosting numbers...... She decided to take pity on the Kit. However she didn't let her up yet, she might run away......*

Marlstorm: What's your name, young one?

The bear dodged, which gave Firestone enough time to lunge himself. He was about to bite the bear's throat, when he found himself in the air. Firestone landed next to Swiftpaw, but got back up. The bear turned around and sneered, "Forgot I was a spirit, eh, Lataos?" "Whoops, I did forget about that." Firestone then charged up an electric ball. "But you're not immortal to elemental attacks!" He looked to Silverstar. "Keep him in that spot! I can't move when I'm charging!"

If you want to live that is...... *with that Marlstorm flipped the Kit onto her front and before she could react had grabbed her by the scuff of her neck and started to carry her towards the ThunderClan Camp, try as the Kit might she couldn't escape Marlstorm's jaws.*

Firestone suddenly released the shot, and the bear fell to the ground. Silverstar sat up in surprise, thinking they had won, but the deputy knew better. Suddenly, a big red spirit flew up an dissapeared, shouting, "I will get you Seth Lataos! The war has only begun!" Seth laid his ears back, and walked slowly over to Swiftpaw. "Buddy? Swiftpaw, are you okay?" Firestone put his paw on Swiftpaw's chest, then looked up at Silverstar whispereing, "He's dead."

Firestone sighed. "I guess I can become Hawkpaw's official mentor, now." He scooped up his brother in his powerful jaws, then headed back to camp. He stopped and noticed that Silverstar wasn't following. "Ya comin'" he asked through clenched teeth.
