Forum suggestion

I heartily recommend that a music or general media forum be added to the site in the General section. If you look at general chat there are a lot, and I mean a lot, like, a whole mess of a lot, of music posts. A lot of them being the same repeated topics over and over.

Now it's easy for a music topic to be repeated in General Chat because it has so many posts a day, so each day a thread that has to do with music will be buried under a bunch of other posts that have to do with music, and a few others that don't. In a strictly-music forum, this would not happen as often. Less repeat topics would save space or bandwidth or whatever I don't know. But it's got to save something.

Also, if you did this, I implore you to make and sticky a "favorite bands" topic right after the forum is made, because I've seen at least 7 different versions of that topic throughout my time here.

Anyway, a suggestion that I think would make some people happy and make less clutter in the General Chat forum.

[sub]Since the forum is mostly about Spyro, I don't think we need to get specific enough to have a "General Media" forum. The duplicate threads could just be closed; that's really all that's needed. Report them if they bother you, because the moderators don't always see them.

It would probably end up taking up more bandwidth to create an entire new forum just for one specific thing, anyway. That would create more topics about specific things that could be discussed in one general "What's your favorite Band" thread. [/sub]

But there's not just one "favorite band" thread. At least sticky one of them for goodness's sake 'cause tbh I'm sick of seeing them.

[sub]Like I said, that's way too specific. If a "favorite band" thread was sticky'd, wouldn't people start wanting threads like "favorite food" and "favorite video game" sticky'd? We'd have two pages of sticky'd threads.

Besides, it's not a recurring problem; it might be popular to make those threads now, but this is the first time I've ever seen that many.

If you don't like the threads, just report them for being duplicates I guess.[/sub]

It won't stop all of the other needless "LOL FANS OF BAND X" threads but whatever.
