Lightning stripe walked over to the fresh-kill pile and picked up a rabbit. "There sure is a lot of prey this leaf-bare." she said.

Ivypool sat at the entrance to Mothermouth and looked up at the sky. "It's getting later.. Moonhigh isn't too far away..." she said.

GRUMBLE! "Woah! I just now relized I havn't eaten!" Darkpaw held his stomach with one paw. "Ok, Imma go eat."

"Darkpaw, before you do, can you go bring some fresh kill to the Elders?" Silverstar asked.

"Yeah, sure." Darkpaw shrugged and went off to the fresh kill pile.

Lightningstripe's whiskers twitched as she watched Darkpaw rush over to the Elder's Den. She ate her rabbit in a few famished gulps, yawned, then padded over to the Warrior's Den to take a nice nap.

"Yes! Moonhigh!" Ivypool said as she got up, stretched, and entered Mothermouth. She kept on walking until she was sure the tunnel would never end, when the tunnel widened into a room. Ivypool gazed at the Moonstone. Light up... please... light UP! she thought desperately. Suddenly, as though StarClan had heard her thoughts, a ray of moonlight hit the magnificent rock, and the entire cave brightened. Thank you! Ivypool padded up to the Moonstone and touched it with her nose. She then lay down, waiting for StarClan to send her to sleep...

Ivypool opened her eyes. She was in the clearing at Fourtrees. At the base of the Great Rock, she could just make out a snowy pelt.

"Snowfur...?"

*Marlstorm blinked twice in succession. Then she shrugged*

Marlstorm: I'm going for a meal then a sleep..... I may as well sleep now, when this storm breaks I probably won't get any sleep....... Good Evening Silverstar.... *walks off to the Fresh-kill pile*

Silverstar bowed her head. "Might as well eat also." She followed Marlstorm to the fresh-kill pile and picked up a squirrel. She gripped it into her teeth and walked over to her den. She sat and ate.

Darkpaw rushed over to the fresh kill pile also and grabbed a rabbit.

Ivypool stared at her dead mentor.

"Come." was all she said. Ivypool followed her into the forest.

"Where are you taking me?" she asked. Snowfur didn't answer. Ivypool continued to follow her until Snowfur came to a stop.

"Look around, Ivypool. Remember this place." she said.

"What do you mean, Snowfur? Why is this place special?"

Again, Snowfur didn't respond. When she did talk, she simply said, "The Moonlight is fading. It is time for us to depart. Be careful, Ivypool." she added as she padded away.

"Wait, Snowfur! I don't understand! Snowfur!" Ivypool blinked open her eyes. The light had faded, leaving the clearing pitch black. Sighing, Ivypool got up and made her way back to the tunnel entrance.

Silverstar was asleep since it had taken Ivypool all night for the message from Starclan.

Ivypool emerged from the tunnel, exhausted. She checked the air. Squirrel! Looking around she saw the squirrel sitting on some roots nearby. She quickly killed it and ate it in a few famished gulps. Licking her lips, she crossed the Thunderpath and headed towards WindClan territory.

Silverstar woke in the middle of the night with a silent yawn. She padded out of her den and sat by Highrock, awaiting Ivypool's return.

Hawkpaw got bored so she went over to the fresh kill pile and picked out a mouse.
As she ate she let out a sigh. "Where are all the other aprentices? I need a friend, right now."

Darkpaw yawned. "Hawkpaw?" He walked out of the den and saw she was over by the Fresh-kill. He padded over and grabbed a mouse. "Is something wrong?"

Silverstar did't notice the apprentices.

Silverstar flicked her ears and turned around. "Ah, Darkpaw, Hawkpaw. What are you two doing up so early?"

"Hawkpaw's bored. She wants a mentor."

"Don't worry. We'll choose one soon enough." Silverstar smiled then walked off.

Ivypool bounded into ThunderClan territory. Wait a minute... Ivypool stopped and tried to remember the place Snowfur had shown her. She turned and headed in the direction of the River. Eventually she stopped at the top of a small hollow. This is it! Snowfur told me to be careful here... I'd better remember this place. Ivypool began to feel another weird sensation. She shuddered and started towards the ThunderClan camp again.

Lightningstripe padded out of the Warriors den. She saw Sliverstar not too far away. "Hello, Silverstar." she said, dipping her head. "Have you seen Ivypool? I was so worried about her that I couldn't sleep." As soon as she said that, Ivypool emerged from the gorse tunnel and made her way towards Silverstar.

Ivypool followed Silverstar into her den. As soon as she lay down, she began.

"I was in the clearing at Fourtrees. Snowfur was there, and she told me to follow her. Then, she led me through ThunderClan territory. I tried asking her where she was taking me, but... it was if she couldn't hear me. Anyways, she led me to a small hollow. She told me that I knew this place, and that I needed to be careful. Then, she ran off." Ivypool sighed. "I know I should be able to figure out what she meant, but... I can't."

*As the others went into Silverstar's den and the apprentices started playing about, Marlstorm got up and went to the fresh-kill pile. She selected a squirrel and ate it. Once finished she sat to clean the grime from her paws.*
