PlayStation3, Nintendo Wii, or Xbox360?
I say PS3. Great games like MGS4, Burnout Paradise, and Motor Storm.
Tell wat u think and why. And if it's the 360, don't say it has better games. IT DOESNT!!!!!

Re: PlayStation3, Nintendo Wii, or Xbox360?
Well, for me it would have to be PS3. It could play any PS game and goes onto the internet like here ofr instance! XD Then it would be X box360. LOVE to play Halo 3 online! And then Wii. (I dont have internet for that, so dont really know)

People can say what they want if it's their opinion. If they say it has the better games, you can agree or disagree with them.
Wii has been my favorite in terms of games so far, even though neither of the 3 systems really have much to choose from. At least Wii's family games are fun though, when there's other people around, and I did enjoy Mario Galaxy and Smash and stuff.
PS3... I think I've only been interested in MGS4, but I'll probably want their later games. The cost is still awful though because they knew they could have seperated most of their unnecessary stuff, except they didn't.
Xbox 360's hardware problems turn me off, (although it's good that they've fixed the major ones.) but what I've played on it I've liked. I'm mostly interested in their Rareware games, like Banjo-Kazooie, although it probably won't be very good.

Re: PlayStation3, Nintendo Wii, or Xbox360?
To be honest the Wii really is in a field of its own, it appeals to the Nintendo fans of course (and me who wasnt a huge nintendo fan until i bought my wii), but it also draws in people who may not be frequent gamers. Its also very much a console that is trying new things, instead of sticking to the same old routine.
360 and PS3 however are mainly for heavy gaming, they are mostly (not entirely) more serious games and so the target audience is slightly diminished. (some would say Wii's target audience is diminished as the games are childish, but i think most reasonable people realise its good to look past a games "childishness" when its a good fun game)
really, 360 and PS3 are in direct competition with each other, whereas Wii, as ive already said is off on its own, trying new things and just being fun and awesome
ive bought my Wii for fun
i'd buy a PS3 if I wanted to watch blu-ray movies (and possibly play ps1/ps2 games and ps/3 sequels)
i would consider buying a 360 maybe cuz they stole banjo kazooie from wii's virtual console, and ive never gotten to play that game

Couldnt have said it better myself.
Anyway, here is how the sellings went:
First year:
PS3: Low (because of high-prices)
Xbox: Medium (classic game-play)
Wii: High (Best gameplay)
Second year:
Xbox: Low (Halo 3 was considered a dissapointment)
PS3: Medium (lower priced and best graphics)
Wii: High (STILL the best graphics, and has great 1st party games)
This was from a worldwide vote on the best console and why. Apparently in Japan, Xbox isn't even considered as a console, since it is very high priced with the shipping.
Wii is overall the best gaming console out their, with the lowest price, best gameplay, and a wider ranged audience, the only thing that the other consoles beat it as is graphics. I bet my life that nintendo will make the first console as a virtual reality machine., since they always think of gameplay first, graphics second.

Ugh yeah, I hated that. I'm tired of playing it on the N64 too because the analog stick has been making my thumb sore every single time. I don't think I would buy a 360 just for that reason though, but yeah.
Also, do they have the sequel on the 360? A lot of people seem to dislike Banjo-Tooie because of the sometimes annoying framerate, intimidating huge levels, (at least for a game where you have to look for specific items) and also that incredibly pointless and frustrating racing mini-game where you have to press the A button at the speed of sound for a pretty long while and you have to do this mini-game FOUR TIMES THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE GAME. Other than that though, I had a lot of fun with it and would recommend it if you liked the first game.

I prefer the Wii. It's more fun and is better for you as far as playing on Games Consoles goes! XD

ugh i cant stand 360 controllers, or at least x-box controllers, i dunno if theyve made them better since then, but the *bleep* things were so huge
havnt used ps3's controllers but if theyre like ps1 and 2's then they should be alright, though itd be nice if they didnt rip of the wii's innovation and make a motion controller (however crappy it turned out) actually isnt 360 doin that now too?

Re: PlayStation3, Nintendo Wii, or Xbox360?
I think I'd probably have to say Wii on this one. I haven't played the 360 or PS3, but I'm not a huge gamer, and I always loved Nintendo's games. Simple, and really fun. I think the idea of the Wii being virtual like that a great idea.

Re: PlayStation3, Nintendo Wii, or Xbox360?
I have to say the 360, now don't start flaming me, but from a comparison I saw on YouTube for graphics (actual game footage), 360 has better graphics on quite a few games, and the 360 isn't as fragile as it used to be. Don't get me wrong, I like the PS series, and I plan for a Wii this Christmas (mainly for Brawl and Metroid Prime 3). Halo 3 wasn't much of a disappointment, plus I'm rather used to how Xbox LIVE works. But that's just my opinion, I've only played the 360 out of the next-gens.
Here's a good comparison video.

Re: PlayStation3, Nintendo Wii, or Xbox360?
I own a Wii and was originally behind it all the way. But now, I seriously can't stand the *bleep*ing thing. My reason being: there are no good games.
Be it, you have Mario, Metroid, Super Smash Bros., and... well that's pretty much it as far as first party games go. The only Zelda game was a GameCube port so I don't really count it here. Anyway, 3 "good" games (and I use that term lightly since Metroid was only just scratching decent) and the Wii has been around for almost two years. Not good at all.
Instead, we get a bunch of games like "Wii Play, Wii Fit, Cooking Mama" or other games that only appeal to people who have never played a video game in their life (which is now pretty much Nintendo's target audience, not people who actually play games anymore). I've been playing games since I could hold a controller, so I don't want to be spoon-fed games you'd have to be missing half of your brain to not be able to play.
So pretty much, the Wii can rot for all I care at this point. Nintendo can't make enough 1st party games and 95% of all 3rd party games suck.
As far as which console I want to get next, I can't really decide. I'm leaning more toward the 360 because it has the broadest library of games (for people who actually play video games that is), Xbox Live, and the Xbox Live Arcade, not to mention the deal with Netflix they have going on now. The hardware problems are no big deal at all, since they'll pretty much send you a new one if you encounter such a thing.
The PS3 is kinda ehhhh. Even though it costs like, $400-$500 now instead of the initial $500-$600, it's still too much, especially when compared to the Premium 360 model. I also can't stand the controller. Pretty much just because of that lame motion-sensing knock-off they put in and how they made L2 and R2 trigger buttons. Also, the only games I'd want to get for it really would be Ratchet and Clank, the new Jak game whenever it comes out, and God of War III, whenever THAT comes out. Other than that, I really don't care about things like Metal Gear Solid (way too much time spent on a lousy storyline) or Devil May Cry (I hate this series with a passion).
I might get a PS3, but almost definitely after I already have a 360. I do love the 360 controllers. They just fit my hands so nicely.

LOL, that was my reasoning for avoiding the Xbox 360 and PS3. Ehh, it depends on your gaming preferences.

I have the same reason as bmah why I don't like the new consoles. The games don't appeal to me. Except the Wii games look really fun from what I've played and seen.

Re: PlayStation3, Nintendo Wii, or Xbox360?
Admittedly like, none of the new consoles have too many good platformers. I mean I've heard Zack and Wikipedia is good, so I may check that out.
But I want more games like Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter, and Ratchet and Clank.
