What got you liking Spyro in the first place?

lets's see, i think I was 4 or 5 years old and i came home from school and my dad had bought me a Playstation and spyro riptos rage. And since then I have been hooked on the games

It was the games that struck me since the first time i saw the games i said to mum "I want it" and she looked at me and said "maybe you will get it for your birthday or Christmas" and i said "no i want spyro now!!!!!" and mum said "ok ok fine you will get it now" and i said "Yes!!!!!!!!!!" and then it all started from then to now!!!!!!!!!

I was five years old, and my dad bought a playstation 1 along with Spyro The Dragon, Crash Bandicoot Warped, and Crash Team Racing for me and my siblings. We all liked those games(even my 3 year old brother who just ran Spyro into the water and off cliffs), and so we got Ripto's Rage and Crash Bash when it came out. Then Year of the Dragon(we didn't abandon Crash, I just can't remember if another Crash game came out on ps1 or not). Then my mom and dad fought in court against each other resulting in my mom getting nearly full custody of me, my sister, and my brother. She bought us a ps2, and Enter The Dragonfly, but it sucked. My brother got A Hero's Tail when it came out, but it also sucked. And neither of us could beat it(he was much older by then). Then I got A New Beginning for DS, resulting in me being very angry at how much it sucked and how ugly Spyro was. Then my sister gave me The Eternal Night on gba for my birthday, and I thought that sucked too. But I didn't tell her of course. XD Now I'm planning on buying Dawn of the Dragon because of multi-player mode and the fact Cynder is playable. It'll probably suck too, but I'll give it a chance.

O_O Wow. I was just going to say how I got the first Spyro game. How did my post turn into THAT?

It was the late 90's, about 1998 or so. I saw a commercial on TV for a Looney Tunes game for the PlayStation. I expressed interest in it for a few weeks before the night my grandmother went to Target and bought me a PlayStation. She said that they were out of the game I wanted but the clerk recommended one. That one was the original Spyro the Dragon. I started playing that game, got hooked, and have been a Spyro fan ever since.

I was just in a rental shop looking for a game to rent and i got YOTD because i liked the look of it. I really enjoyed it and thats what got me into Spyro.

My sister went over to her friends house one day, and told me that we should get Spyro the Dragon, because she thought it was really fun. So we bought the game; I was about 5 or 6 at the time. It was very challenging for me, and we decided we would buy the other two.

I always loved dragons and when I first saw spyro I was very happy and started collecting them ever since and got most of the spyro games apart of dawn of the dragon which I will get next smile

When I was young and I played Year Of The Dragon, I enjoyed how happy everything was.

I have grown up since then, and now I prefer games that are not so happy, such as the LoS series.

I do not mean to start any debate with this comment.

but seriously, its sad that this is what the world is coming to

happy = for kids
depressed/angsty/dramatic = teenagers and adults

though frankly there are kids out there who wont play "happy" games because theyre childish as well

it makes me depressed/angsty/dramatic, im gonna play some tLoS (jokes)

but you know what's funny, one of the reasons you cited for ceasing to argue was that you were wasting time space and bandwidth, and yet time/space/bandwidth are all being wasted by your sorrowful little bouts of self loathing, including of course the thread you made specifically to state that you were going to stop wasting all those things
