What if Cynder didn't exist?

If Cynder didn't exist in the Spyro series, then Ember would've been the only female dragon in the series. Also, Cynder's the only dragoness who's appeared more than once in the series, and is probably the only one who everyone likes and adores for her relationship with Spyro. Plus, she is a playable in DotD, and if she didn't exist, then Spyro would be alone in the game like before.

I personally wish that Cynder stayed the adult size but never died.
I don't really like her as her small "normal" version that everyone wants to put with Spyro.

She wouldn't be the only female dragon in the series besides Ember, though. Technically, there are the baby dragons in Spyro 3; the dragon Nanny in AHT; and Birgit, Mrs. Funderlic, and Kaitlin in Shadow Legacy.

If Cynder didn't exist, then Spyro would need a different reason to leave the Dragon Temple.

Perhaps someone absconded with all of the guardians?

No offense, but regardless of the fact that was a joke, it was very, VERY tasteless. Homosexuality*, pedophilia, AND incest, all in one post. Cool, dude!

On a side note, I do agree that Ignitus is Spyro's dragon father, whether it be biological or adopted. *ahem* then again anyone who knows me at all already knows that tongue .

Now, on topic: If Cynder didn't exist, neither would any of her fantards who like to bash all the other characters and regard her as perfection >.>.

If Cynder didn't exist, I wouldn't have bought The Eternal Night, and I wouldn't be planning on buying Dawn of the Dragon. Yep, she's the only reason I continue to play these games.

I like Elijah Wood's voice(but not in a fan girl way XD), but I just don't think it suits Spyro. Whoever did the cute nasally voice in the older games was perfect.

Off topic, did anyone else notice how in the older games Spyro wasn't a kid, but just a small dragon? Now in the newer ones he's smaller because he's young. I wonder why....

Tom Kenny was for RR/GtG, YotD, and that piece of crud known as EtD.

Carlos Alazraqui was for the first game, Spyro the Dragon.

Jess Harnell for AHT.

I frankly prefer the new series, and Elijah Wood's voice, but that's just my opinion wink .

Also, Spyro was still a kid in the old series as well. I don't get how Rose deduced that he wasn't.

I don't care what your comment was stabbing at. It was tasteless and unnecessary. And you should've simply said that / and X fanfic writers wouldn't exist. But then again, the joke would have been tasteful, and we can't have that can we?

And so what if I defend Ignitus? He is the character in this fandom who is subject to the most abuse. Cynder fantards especially love bashing him. I defend him when he is unfairly attacked. If you know the experience I've had with Cynder fantards, maybe you'd understand a bit better. So what if I defend him more than once? So what if I step in on issues like this? That makes me a "fantard" as you pointed me out on another thread? If so, then you really don't know the difference between "devoted fan" and "fantard", my friend.

And I don't care what you think of me - I have my reasons for being personally attached to Ignitus and I'm not wasting my breathe to explain them to you.

i recall someone on these forums being heavily attached to ignitus beause of his fatherly role to spyro, and the fact that their own father did not fill that role. perhaps that was you, frankly i couldnt give a crap, ignitus is a character, he is make believe, just like cynder, it wouldnt surprise me if someone was attached to her character because they felt the need to redeem themselves due to past mistakes, i dont care, shes a character, associate with them if you must, but dont trick yourself into thinking they are real.

oh and your suggestion to improve the "joke" is crap too, first of all the whole point of the statement in the first place was to have truth behind it, i know for a fact that a lot of fanfic writers write about homosexual relationships (even when there isnt any evidence of it, i hate it too, we have something in common), some write about paedophilia (theres a whole bunch of people who seem to think hermione and professor snape from harry potter where haing secret rendevous in the potions lab), and some, though im hoping relatively few write about incest (ive seen a hentai comic about goten and trunks having sex with gotens mother)

now how about you use your *bleep*ing head and realise that maybe, just maybe, i am as disgusted by people who write about those things as you are, hence the reason i poke fun at them

Calling someone's joke tasteless is an opinion. It shows that the person in question did not like the joke.

However, I do not agree with Ignitus#1Fan that it was a bad joke (it was taking a snipe at fanfic styles that I don't like), however, he is not on a high horse just because he doesn't like a certain joke and calls it "tasteless." At least where I live, if a joke is called "tasteless", it means that the person who is calling it tasteless does not like the joke-it does not mean that "Oh, god, your joke sucks, and you do too, I'm so much better than you."
