Yep. But there's not much else you can do to fix it.
War has actually worked for the US so far. We haven't lost a war yet.
We were forced to withdraw from Vietnam after heavy protest on the home front.

And not to mention the fact that we (the UK, US and other allied forces) aren't going to win the War in Iraq. We're fighting a losing battle now, all thats happening is young men and women are losing their lives because our heads are too big to accept anything other than winning and getting our way. In my opinion it would be best for everyone to let them sort it out for themselves. I know that we entered the War in the first place to stop innocents being killed, but we are just making things worse for them now.

As much as I hate the war, I don't think we should withdraw so early. Why? Because if we withdraw, everything we did will be meaningless. Terrorists will just pick up where they left off.

How do you know he isn't there? He could be anywhere. Just because he hasn't been found doesn't mean he isn't found. If the army thought like that, Hussein never would've been found.

Yup. But technically, we still didn't lose that war since we withdrew before the loss.

It started rough, but if you compare the casualties now to previous years or even months, it has gotten better.

If our original intention was starting wars with other countries that needed our help, I'm pretty sure that North Korea or Vietname needed it a lot more, IMO. 'Windraw?' Is that a way of withdrawing, but still winning, lol?
On the subject of Osama bin Laden, I'm pretty sure he's dead. He had a kidney condition, and I'm pretty sure that dragging a Kidney Dialysis machine across the Torabora Mountains, much less the Middle East, is quite impossible.

Okay, firstly:
I meant "people" as in "a people". A race or species that has a language, sence of community, etc.
Dolphins have that.
I did not say the lizards SPOKE and decided not to fight to the death, but somewhere in there evolution they somehow must have realised that it was better for their survival that way.
Dogs dont just accept a human into their pack because the human doesn't threaten them! That is saying that dogs, or all animals, are beyond the ability to love! and i know that they couldn't just accept suomething into their pack like that. They would be wary of the human at first, and then if it doesn't threaten the other pups or members they will let it stay around. Finally, if they come to like or love the human, that lucky human will become part of their pack. They know it is a human though. they aren't that stupid!
With the sexism part, what i mean is that i think it is fair that in the animal world the males have to impress the females, BECAUSE the females have to give birth to the off-spring or lay the eggs. Often she even has to hatch them herself and then look after them for a long time compared to some of their life-spans.
i know guys try to look nice too, but you have no idea what women go through. Usually guys only have to shower, deodorise, shave their face and pick out an outfit. Or just skip the shaving for the rugged look. They can also work-out i guess.
What we girls have to do:
-wax/shave legs
-wax/shave armpits
-wax/pluck eyebrows
-work-out
-brush sometimes massive amounts of hair, then try to put it up.
-buy the perfect outfits that compliment our shape/size (which often takes a while)
-buy/wear perfume/deodorant
-put on jewellery
-put on make-up (thankfully optionable)
-act perfectly
-and many other things that i dont want to mention
If we didn't do these things, do you really think guys would look at us twice?
We really don't need technology. I'd rather be a toad (which don't actually exist, because there are no such tings as toads, really) than be a human ruining the world with their stupid technologies that waste their minds.

Okay, firstly:
I meant "people" as in "a people". A race or species that has a language, sence of community, etc.
Dolphins have that.
your definition of people is wrong then, dolphins are not recognised as people by the majority of people (ie. humans)
I did not say the lizards SPOKE and decided not to fight to the death, but somewhere in there evolution they somehow must have realised that it was better for their survival that way.
if you understood anything about evolution then you would realise that it has nothing to do with conscious decision, an altered gene in the mind of one of thats lizard's previous generations may have resulted in a non lethal mindset
but you still try to imply that lizards that dont kill are more civilised than us, when everything they do is preprogrammed into their mind, they dont make the decision not to kill, if they had the ability to think like that then humans wouldnt be the only verified sentient creature on this planet
They know it is a human though. they aren't that stupid!
you're still creditting animals with more intelligence than they actually possess, love is a human word used primarily to explain the chemical happenings in our heads when we see someone we are attracted to.
theres a bit more to it for us than that because humans are different to animals, animals base it on which male/female is this best breeder based on their physical attributes, humans however can base it on personality traits etc. as well as appearance
basically what I'm trying to say is animals do not feel the somewhat magical definition of love which is most commonly subscribed to, a dog sees another dog and thinks "mate" a dog looks at its siblings and thinks "play" a dog looks at its pups and thinks "look after it until its time to leave"
With the sexism part, what i mean is that i think it is fair that in the animal world the males have to impress the females, BECAUSE the females have to give birth to the off-spring or lay the eggs. Often she even has to hatch them herself and then look after them for a long time compared to some of their life-spans.
even more reason for the male to base attraction on appearance, the female has to bear the offspring, so the male looks for the female with qualities which signify a good breeder, just like the female wants to find the male with the best qualities so the offspring will be healthy and fit
i know guys try to look nice too, but you have no idea what women go through. Usually guys only have to shower, deodorise, shave their face and pick out an outfit. Or just skip the shaving for the rugged look. They can also work-out i guess.

please dont make assumptions that you cant possibly back up, for the majority of my 19-20 yrs on this earth i have been raised primarily by my mother and my grandmother, since leaving home earlier this year, i have been living with my girlfriend, i understand the female mentality pretty *bleep* well, at the very least dont assume im one of the many males out there who know nothing about the opposite sex.
yes you do stuff, good for you, dont try saying you have to do it because you dont
-work-out: very few women do this, let alone need to, the occasional excercise maybe, but no more than what is considered healthy anyway, definitely less than what seems to be expected from males
-brush sometimes massive amounts of hair, then try to put it up: everyone who has enough hair to warrant it needs to brush it, not all girls need to put their hair up, and its definitely not required of them
-buy/wear perfume/deodorant: guys do this too, and its usually needed more since we give off more odour
-put on jewellery: not required, earrings maybe, but still not essential and they arent exactly difficult to apply
-put on make-up (thankfully optionable): as you said, its optional, the only time make-up is really badly needed is if you have skin problems, problems which guys suffer from too, unfortunately for us, we get called gay if we wear makeup to cover it
-act perfectly: Id agree if it werent for the fact that the majority of females who get partners (in this country at least) are far from the delicate lady that is traditionally attractive, yes most guys prefer a girl to not be belching all over the place, but thats called manners and tends to be something expected from everyone, not just women
We really don't need technology. I'd rather be a toad (which don't actually exist, because there are no such tings as toads, really) than be a human ruining the world with their stupid technologies that waste their minds.
You wouldn't last a week as a woman.... or a toad.
well if technology is so awful please do me (i cant speak for everyone) a favour and hop off the computer and go live with the toads
by the way i guarantee you they exist, just because a toad is also a frog does not mean toads cease to exist
order anura = frogs and toads
order lepidoptera = butterflies and moths
do you claim moths or butterflies dont exist?
as for technology wasting minds, well, i cant speak for you, but i believe technology has opened my mind more than anything, being able to think about more than "where is food" "where is mate" "where is predator" is a great feeling in my books

i know it wasn't directed towards me but why does it matter how you look? i know stuff like deodrent is sort of needed but you don't need make up i hate the stuff to work out so what if someones big doesn't meen that someone else (of the opposit sex) won't like them for who they are jewellery it's not an absolute must have , act perfectly just be yourself thats what they get, pluck eye brows forget it sure if you have huge bush lined over your forehead then yes but not just to draw them back on. thank god that not everyone is that shallow just to impress someom=ne when all they need to be is them self

I find that very offensive and uneeded.
There are hundreds if not thousands of males who do all of that too.
I don't do half of that stuff, and I am female.
But act perfectly? No one is perfect.

Re: Am I the only one worried about the world these days ???????
That bit about dogs deciding they like someone is a bunch of hooey. What you see within a pack community is not love or even a type of like. They are loyal to each other because in a true pack most are related and the basic instinct of an animal is to pass on its genes. If that means accepting in a human as added protection to its offspring, so-be-it. It would kill them in a heart-beat if it felt the need to. I have bred cockatiels for a couple of years now. And I can tell you that they don't like each other terribly much. And many kinds of birds are more intelligent than dogs are, especially parrots, macaws, corvidae (crows, ravens, jackdaws and magpies) and parakeets. A dog doesn't even understand what we are saying to them, matter of fact neither does a bird. To them its name is just a sound, true they have the ability to remember that sound and associate a sound with food or themselves, but they don't know what it means. Thats why when you are training a puppy you have to speak in the same tone of voice. Otherwise you are just making random sounds at it and, of course, it won't listen.
I could give you a list of the types of female animals that display to the male rather than the 'normal' way around. There's a type of duck which shows off to a male, then after mating and laying eggs abandons them with the male and goes off to woo more males. While the other male rears the young. Seahorse females also play no part in looking after the babies. The male does all of the showing off, she lays her eggs in his pouch, then she goes off and will probably never see him or her young again. As for the list about what human girls do. I feel sorry for those young girls who do that. Unless of course they are actors or maybe on a special occasion. They must be either desperate to impress, or very unhappy with themselves. If anything, primping yourself up does you worse rather than good. Brushing your hair excessievly causes it to thin and become brittle, and (though I know you didn't mention it) straightening is even worse. Make-up clogs up the pores on your skin and putting it on everyday will most assuredly give you spots. The stuff you don't want to mention, which I can guess what it is, HA! We're girls, people have to get over it and deal with it, I'm a swimmer and it doesn't even make a dent on my training schedule. As for the outfits and jewellery, who has time to look for clothes like that? I for one am happy with jeans, trakkies, some tops and jumpers and for nice occasions, a couple of nice outfits.

bull crap
stop trying to make this world sound more sexist than it is
maybe youd have a point if you had said "if a woman is caught having sex with lots of men"
and the reason thats generally accepted more than the male alternative is because in nature most animals have the male of the species mating with multiple females.
if you arent a sexist moron however, then you accept that its pitiful for men or women to sleep around
