Eggspam

I have noticed that members that are new to dragcave have begun to post topics about their eggs and asking members to click them.

If you are one of these people, we already have a place for you to allow members to click your eggs.

It is rather annoying when I come on and see two topics refering to one person's eggs.

If this isn't already in the rules, could someone add it in the next update?

Re: Eggspam

I did clarify that when I was a Mod. I also said it is legal to do it in SPAM.

On the plus side, I see a guest coming to post every now and then on the Dragon Eggs thread. It looks like a bonus to attract guests.

This is because the signature space is insufficient.

[sub]What, you want signatures big enough for ten eggs?

I haven't seen any of these threads yet, except for in spam. Examples?

Adding it to the rules wouldn't be such a bad idea, though, even  if it's not a huge problem, and even if it is just a temporary fad. If Spyrorocks doesn't mind, I've been wanting to write a new set of rules; I don't really like the current one I wrote so long ago. .__.

For now, just report the threads as they come up.[/sub]

Re: Eggspam

I think we should also move the dragon egg thread to spam. People are getting their post counts up by saying "Click my eggs" over and over again.

Re: Eggspam

[sub]Exactly. I already suggested that on the thread. =/

You do realize that you're increasing your own gem count by putting the eggs on every post, don't you? =P[/sub]

If you'd like to take the time to write new rules, id appreciate it.

Re: Eggspam

Stormy, there have been several incidents where people make a new thread asking members to post their eggs. I've seen around 4 or 5.

Re: Eggspam

I don't see the rule against creating all these unnecessary topics about eggs...

Re: Eggspam

[sub]There isn't one. It's under "Don't Spam," which I think just about covers it. It's too trivial to need its own rule.

I swear I had something about it in there, but Spyrorocks probably took it out; he edited it a little.[/sub]

Re: Eggspam

The rules say nothing about multiple threads on the same topic.

I don't care about gems. You want all mine? I'll give them to you. I just want the eggs that don't fit in my signature to get views too.  roll

Re: Eggspam

[sub]Whatever. Arguing over the internet ftw?

Anyway, I should have added something in the rules about not replying to spam threads. I'm mad at myself for not doing that now. >__>[/sub]

Yes but mods a have right to remove topics they deem unneccesary, which includes multiple threads on the same topic.

Hail, please quit digging up old threads.  This has pretty much been discussed and dealt with.
