Upload picture problem

Ok, you know when you upload a picture it says: Dimensions: 1000x1000
(larger images will be resized)
Datatypes: pjpeg,gif,pjpg,png,jpeg,jpg right? Well you can't upload a png! And I wish you can be able to upload a bmp file. sad Is there a way to fix the png thing and put in a bmp option Spyrorocks?
It will be agreat help since I'm giving banners to people from Photo Explosion. smile

Hmm...My word of advice is to change it yourself until SR can fix it. Just open it in Paint, select Save As, and save it as a .jpg or .bmp.

Well yeah I do it, but it's a pain if you have to do it all the time, and you can't upload a bmp.:(

bmp is a very bad file format. it will waste bandwidth.

Å½ Â· BMP uses uncompressed pixels and therefore have enormously large file sizes. Wastes a lot of space.

That is why you should use jpeg, gif, or even better PNG. PNG is my personal favorite.

Å½ Â· PNG, although considerably large, is a lot smaller than BMP with just almost the same quality! (about 1/4 the size of BMP = PNG)

i hate bitmap files i had to go and delete like 40000 pictures just to get some more space on my old laptop
