Re: Doctor Who

Well, you're stuffed, then - Half the references needed to figure the finale out were in the rest of the new series (i.e. from Chris onwards).

Still, I suppose it's somewhat graspable from this point.

But my mum's a big Doctor Who fan. She's watched it from the first ever series onwards. She says she finds Dalek Caan's chuckling weird. I wonder why...

There is no Eleventh Doctor. Read below...

He's not. There are set photos to prove he's been filming for the Christmas Special and he's confirmed he's in the three specials next year. Rumors say this is a 'botched' regeneration, and the energy goes into the hand instead, creating a second Doctor.

I do like Doctor Who quite a bit. I prefer the Classic Series heavily over the New Series. Tom Baker is my favorite Doctor, also. Pertwee is my second favorite (tied with Davison) and Tennant is my third favorite.

Also, 'The Stolen Earth' was... really kind of bad. It was better than, say, Doomsday (and definitely Love & Monsters), but was just... bad (Don't ask, I saw it through other means...)

Re: Doctor Who

on the episode before the christmas specail about two years ago, the one with the sycorax, when i heard Tennants voice, i knew straight away he was scottish (like me!), but i also saw that he fitted the role perfectly.

Which is a matter of opinion. I don't like Rose much. I prefer Martha and Donna.

Worst companion ever, in my opinion. Leela and Romana had to have been the best companions in the show.

Re: Doctor Who

i never said that she was the best, i said she was good (in my opinion).

Katherine Tate is funny, thats why she fits the role of Donna perfectly.
Freema Agyeman is good at being Martha.

The only reason i like the old series is that there was more of K9...they only showed him in one episode in the newer series.

anyone collect the Doctor who card game Battles in Time?

Re: Doctor Who

they have made the darleks scarier...they fly and their attacks are stronger, they dont look like upside down dustbins anymore. And....

Hidden text

the darlek creator is back, a just that much better

out of all the monsters, if i had to be scared of one, it would be the cybermen...i watched torchwood, when they turned a human into a cyberman, had nightmares for 3 weeks straight! yeah, they are cheesy but still, they creep me out with their handle heads, robotic movements but mainly, that shock touch.....

out of the monsters, what one do/did you find the scariest?

That's really kind of odd. Daleks and Cybermen were never scary for me, even when watching my old Doctor Who VHSes when I was younger. They felt a lot more comical. (For example, 'How do you defeat a Dalek?' 'You go up the stairs!' That was until Remembrance...)

Davros is also a very good villain. Shame they didn't bring Terry Molloy back for the New Series, since he was still able to play it.

Oh, and Torchwood is terrible. We already had UNIT to do all of that.

Re: Doctor Who

I watched the last episode. It was weird. Can't they get new monsters? I mean, how many more times are Daleks or Cybermen gonna be on? And its always on Earth.
